Fury hasn,t fought in almost a year and a half! can,t see him getting the win here.
Parker is ranked number 6 . Fury doesn,t belong in the same ring with Parker.

My point is only an idiot would have Hughie Fury as the 2nd best HW in the world at the moment.

Jeez, whats his best win? Arguably a technical decision against Cameroons number 2.

    1) Boxing is a funny sport, strange things happen. It's why we love it, I suppose :)

    2) Parker was apparently injured (shoulder). I'm usually dubious about injury claims but it was made before the fight rather than after. So maybe his power wasn't there.

    3) Parker had the wrong game-plan, he was retreating off the back foot all fight long against the bigger. Fortunately Cojanu was too bad to take advantage of it or even win more than a round or two, but the plain fact is that Parker off the back foot isn't much good against a bigger fighter. It doesn't suit him.

You're the idiot for not reading my comments correctly. I said after the fight, if he toys with Parker(Which is not out of the realms of possibility) than I said most people may have him as their number 2 HW, because Parker is in most people's top 5 already.

Parker well ahead and about 50% of the overall vote for a Parker KO.

I would say that is fairly realistic. If you look at the odds offered around the place it is probably in keeping with them.

Didn't even wobble him at any stage from what I saw. I also don't think he wobbled Ruiz or Takam, despite punching himself out with a crazy flurry vs Takam.

IMO he went down the wrong route with Kevin Barry being trained and marketed as a knockout artist. Barry probably didn't know any better with Tua having been his sole big name boxer in the past. Now Parker is struggling to get knockouts at that next level and is also looking underdevolped as a fighter - despite having great natural gifts.

He has won a belt doing it this way though so what do I know.

I think Takam was hurt against Parker, Takam is REALLY good at covering up damage - was hurt a couple of times vs Povetkin too before the KO but covered it up. Not KOd, but definitely trying to cover up that he was wobbled to avoid a "finish it" onslaught that might take him out. I suspect Parker was MUCH closer to finishing it against Takam than people realise, Takam did an amazing job of weathering it... though Parker did show poor discipline with that too. He needs to be a bit more careful about picking the shots fighting at that level instead of heading in the direction of a Wilder windmill farm session.

A couple of observations about Hughie Fury:

    1) He hasn't stopped anyone inside of the top 250 on Boxrec
    2) Joe Joyce was involved in Hughies camp, and decided immediately to go pro and rates his chances at getting a title. Reading between the lines if he believes Hughie is among the elite, and he reckons he can beat the elite, Hughie seems very beatable to him and Haye.

Did a quick run through their records, Parker's average opponent over his whole career (averaging all wins, loses and draws) is 22-5-1 - and splitting up the win ratios of each individual fighter results in a 74% average win ratio.

Hughie by contrast is looking mostly good against opponents with a 14-12-1 and a 53% win ratio.

If you look at the last ten, when they've started transitioning from prospect to contender it looks more like this:

    Parker: 28-4-1, 86% win ratio
    Fury: 19-7-1, 70% win ratio

Fury's average opponent over his last 10 fights comes across as lower quality than Parker's entire career, right from his first fight.

I'll throw it out there and say that if you threw Parker through Hughie's resume then he'd look like a complete monster. We haven't seen Hughie fight at a level to draw any conclusions on how he deals with a proper live opponent yet.

I've seen way more of Parker than Hughie. I think I've seen one Hughie fight live against Kassi something and I don't even remember how he performed. That being said Parker does not impress me at all. This is a hard fight to call can't wait for it, even though I see a high possibility of it being boring.

Safe to say Parker would have Kassi gone within 7, wouldn't let Arias hang around for a full ten, and would shut out Rudenko (but likely not stop him where Povetkin failed).
