I have a friend who was a D-1 lineman, who started boxing training, and won a few local golden gloves tournaments, then he went to nationals and fought Cam Awesome with like 9 fights, and lost a split decision. My friend is about 6'6 260 just like this guy and FIGHTS JUST LIKE HIM... and my friend was a pure novice who really just wanted to try something new, he ended up with a record of like 15-5.

This guy know how to fight but he is going to get hurt in the pros. I hope he saves his purses.

He's actually 31. He's flawed for sure and I don't anticipate he'll match what he achieved in the amateurs in the pros but we're in an era of big men who took up the sport late and the skill level of them isn't particularly good.

I'm not surprised they are all turning pro, the chance of a losers cheque vs Femi is a life changer.

Yes, he needs to save the purses, unlike Chavez Jr who just lost his cheque for 3 million dollars, some broads took his cheque while he was sleeping, haha.

I don't think he'll transition well to the pros as well as Joshua did. He's definitely got chin issues and isn't hard to hit but he's big and strong and has an exciting style. He's a bit of a brawler for me, likes to stand there and trade and with his conditioning and power that makes him dangerous, you wouldn't want to stand and trade with him for too long.

Joyce's CV looking more impressive since Vilkrist won Euro gold. A couple of those wins were razor-close or controversial but that's a lot of quality scalps to have under your belt.

I like him seems like a very nice guy in the interview. hopfully he goes far :) that workrate and engine is hard to find in a heavyweight and could turn out to be very very dangerous .

I couldn’t believe he weighed 253lbs. Not due to the weigh he moved, but as he looked a lot leaner than AJ. He’s 6’5 or 6’6, so practically the same size too.

Yeah that's what I thought. He's 6'6 I think so pretty much the same as Joshua. But with Joshua you expect him to weigh 250lbs because of how muscular he is. Joyce looked in very good shape but not overly muscular, just lean and yet he weighed 3 or so pounds more. Clearly he is a naturally big framed guy.
