His style reminds me of a young George Foreman.

You're underrating him a little, for someone who looks as sloppy as he does, he gets hit clean infrequently, and for what its worth, beating Thomas and Lewison by KO in your first 4 matches is far more impressive than anything AJ accomplished in his first 10. He has work to do, but thus far, for some reason I'm impressed by him.

Joyce vs Usyk is a good fight for fans of the "sweet science" to watch. Brilliant tactical boxing from Uysk to defeat a larger, stronger opponent.

I thought his technique against Thomas was horrendous. Walking while throwing with zero power, pushing arm shots. Size and a half decent jab is all I see with him

I think there is too much of a noise about tall heavyweights because the smaller ones can do damage also. Size alone doesn't give you victory.

He looks physically uncoordinated like I've never seen, which diminishes his power shockingly. When he sits down he isn't a bad puncher. He smothers everything he does at times against shorter opposition, he should be keeping it long. My opinion is he will get ko'd soon with the traits from the amateurs he has. If he wasn't so old turning over he would have time to iron out his flaws, but at 32 starting off the way hes looking I think hes up against it !

I liked it, it was very reminiscent of the way Kovalev used to fight, very similar to his performance against Cleverly, just a really poor man's version, he was just throwing as many tapping shots mixed in with feints overwhelming him with volume, so he'd never be able to adequately prepare the shots coming that he varied the speed on, like the ones that dropped him.

I get you, however a HW of that size with decent skills is the description of a top 5-10 HW at least in the current scene.

He'd certainly beat Price barring a lucky punch ... Price runs out of gas far too quickly and also won't take Joyce's punches well.

All the top boys are 6 ft 6" plus, its a big advantage if you use it properly. Povetkin doesn't stand a chance with Fury(if hes not finished) Wilder or Joshua at 6 ft 1

I wouldn't be shocked to see him KO'd either, but I think people aren't giving him quite enough credit, he fought far more intelligently against Lewison than he has lately, I'm sure if he gets in there with someone like Price, he'll be faaaar more cautious.

You are not that precise with this assumption. Povetkin is six two, Bellew is six three, Parker is six four, Kownacki is six three, Andy Ruiz Jr is six two also, so.......

With the exception of Povetkin, and maybe Parker over time, none of those are world level.

I can see that now you've pointed it out, but the way he squares up when doing it( and they are tap shots as hes not in a position stance wise to throw heavy ) for me is shocking

Pov don't seem to want to fight the top boys over the years regular, Klit and that's it. I know why, hes caught between cruiser and Heavy and will always fall short to the super heavys. Bellew shouldn't be on that list, Ruiz hasn't a hope, look at how small 6ft 4" Parker looked compared to Joshua, it was size that was his major obstacle. You have to be a Mike Tyson style fighter to deal with the bigger fellas, get under their shots and in, not standing off like the majority of 6ft 1-3". Parker at 6ft 4 and 17stone was tiny next to Joshua, he had to commit far more to stand a chance but he wasn't allowed down to AJ's length and size

exactly, cannon fodder for the top lads. Povetkin wouldn't do as well as Parker either imo
