July twenty-fourth at Wembley Arena. WBO International and WBC Silver heavyweight titles at stake, Joyce's first defense of each.

Nigerian-Scottish-Irish-Brit vs. Cameroonian-French-American. 35 and prime vs. 40 and well-used. A groomed-for-success Olympian vs. a solid nearly-man turned journeyman. A slow-footed and slow-handed, somewhat plodding and methodical but technically sound thudding puncher vs. well...another slow-footed and slow-handed, somewhat plodding and methodical but technically sound thudding puncher (but far less powerful).

Molasses match up that I'd be keen to watch. Takam would keep Joyce honest but fail to really do enough to dispute a 116-112, 115-113 type of win to Joyce.

Takam hurts Joyce but Joyce jabs the face of Takam to bits.

 I think you're right; a stoppage for Joyce would be nice but should by no means be demanded of him or be the firm expectation in this one - and the upset for Takam would be huge at this stage of his career (and maybe set him up for one more payday, ie Fury or a second crack at Joshua) but not perhaps on the scale of Buster Douglas over Mike Tyson or anything.

I actually think Joe does a walk him down demolition job of old on poor Carlos. He's ripe for the taking.

Takam has never fought anyone who is as slow/fast and athletic/unathletic as Joyce

If Takam isn't shot he'll have some success early, maybe even win a round or 2 but he'll eventually get broken down as Joyce just doesn't stop throwing. Maybe Takam gets on his bike like he did vs Joshua and just looks to survive if that's the case he makes it to the later rounds, maybe even to hear the final bell but if he is here to fight like vs Chisora he gets stopped sooner.

Joyce will batter Takam, who is going to take a beating.

I'm really digging Joe's nw hairstyle, hopefully he sticks with it. It truly reflects his inner artist.

Also, P4P, he's got to be near the top of the nicest pro-boxers list. He's right there alongside One Time, when it comes to guys I think I'd get along with excellently.

Please don't show this to ANY woman in your life. This video will shame all other men and set a new standard of manliness that I fear many will not be able to live up to.....

Seriously though, Babic landed some nice right hands on Joyce's chin there.

That was more manly than a prime Clint circa '64-66 wearing a wolf T-shirt

Babic actually displaying a bit of defensive ability and skill there. A more measured approach to his usual balls to the wall maniac style.

Was impressed with Babic against a much taller guy. His timing and accuracy was good.
