I had close, Dubois maybe a point up, could have been either way though.

The ending was a really strange, I thought Dubois was empty, that moment Joyce punched the air at the end of the round... he must have felt the power go or the strength go.

    Next round it's over.

Long way back for Dubois, he won't live that down for a while.

Credit to Dubois for talking after the fight, Joyce jab was very good in this fight, well done I say.
Was a good fight Dubois is young & can come again.

I'm glad the fight didnt reach the distance. Scoring jabs volume vs right hands power usually ends in someone claiming a robbery, no matter the decision. I didnt feel like drama.

Plus, man, I love when the underdogs **** on all the people who didnt trust them and prove everybody wrong.

All the heavyweight titles are held by the Brits.

I commend themboth for actually fighting each other at this level. They could have just ducked each other for years.

He is shottish. Look, he looks like he can't pull the trigger. His jab is the only thing he has left.

Ouch. That's not good for Dubois unless Joyce proves to have a titanium chin.

Well, Frank should take a lot of responsibility for this. As others in this thread have pointed out, he's far too content to have his prospects fight a string of cans, then suddenly throw them in the deep end with a top guy.

It seems pretty bad. Would it have changed the outcome if Frank had had his prospects fight more mid level guys first? I'm not sure, but it seems like it certainly would have improved their odds.

Yeah, we can't moan about big fights not happening and then throw the loser on the scrapheap based on one loss.

There's a lot for Dubois to take away, and time is on his side. He's still got the tools to be a top heavyweight.

This is a good reminder to any prospect with good earning potential - don't fight anyone halfway decent, it can all go horribly wrong.

The type of boxer who would absolutely spark Joyce is Wilder.
