It´s because he only has that straight left hand. All he does is use his length to land a quick counter straight left. He is basically the same as Conor McGregor in MMA. A one trick pony.
So if it´s not working, he starts overthinking/second guessing himself. He is unable to for instance: use his own jab to take control of the distance and to set up a straight left. He relies on the opponent and their decisions. Which backfires when the opponent is any good.

 

Basically started off where we left off, Mccann really isn't that good is he? Another Campbell Hatton.
