Both men come out a bit slower in this round. Nothing of note happens in the first round besides one clean jab from Noakes.
10 seconds later Bassi responds with a few jabs of his own.
Noakes gets Bassi on the ropes but fails to land the following combination.
Jab from Noakes. Bassi again takes his distance behind the jab. Noakes walks him from one corner to another but is unable to land the attempted combinations.
Uppercut from Bassi, partially blocked. Both men landing jabs.

Damn, this was a really close one.
I think Noakes did enough, so 8-1 but I could honestly see this as 6-3

 

Despite the commentary teams complacency, Noakes didn't really get to Bassi that round.

Noakes pressuring, again. Runs into a smooth uppercut. Keeps pressuring and eats a jab.
Bassi is moving well. Eats a partial right hand, gets trapped on the ropes but gets off of them without trouble.
Bassi landing the occasional jab, Noakes a partial power punch here and there.
Headbutt. Big right hand from Noakes followed by wrestling.
Bassi attempts another uppercut, blocked. Noakes attempts a right hand and Bassi rolls with it.

5-5 would be a travesty. 6-4 for Bassi would be straight up criminal.
