Lol. You watched the first four rounds of Joyce walking towards Chisora and getting repeatedly clobbered to the head and thought Joyce was cruising to victory? That's wild.

For what it's worth I had it very close, a point either way, the judges score cards were whack. But smashing your opponent clean and hard to the head really does carry weight with judges, regardless of how well Joyce took them and kept coming forward.

Sad to see joyce turn out so crap in the end, ya just can't miss him, I'm sure he got slower too.

If delboy beats you at this point its probably time to hang 'em up!
I was liking joyce too, so wanted him to do well at the top of the game, but that's it, done.

Ok according to compubox Joyce outlanded Chisora in 6 from 10 rounds. Dereck in 4. But one of this round is round 9 where Chisora was badly beaten but score this KD.
Stats show also what I see yesterday- Joyce was much buisier Man in the ring, throw 200 punches more, being attack site almost whole fight, got Dereck heart and fighting for life.

I absolutley have no problem with Dereck win this one because I though that Joyce will collect little more rounds but for sure scorecards are too wide. It was close fight at last and no way Chisora win this soo much.

Chisora has a style that is friendlier to the judges' eyes. That Joe problem.
A special with someone like Juggernaut who got horrible defence eat thoose punches without any defence attention.
And other way when Dereck start focus on defence and move his body he is pretty hard to land clean and visible.

But still in this mess Joyce was able to outland him in more rounds.
Probably KD cost him vicotry but if we accept that this was probably his best round until Dereck catch him (35-13 punches land and serious Chisora problems) we might see this other way.

Joyce was very busy in this fight. He throw more than 100 punches in one round and his average throw number will be smth close to 80.
And yes- I know we dont score wind in boxing but if You make wind and still land more in this You still are most succesfull dude in the ring.

Joyce's punch accuracy was toilet though. No point being a busy fool.

Actually there is pretty important being busy if You land more on opponent what he did.

Not if all the best punches are landed by a more efficient opponent, which is what happened last night.

The bonus for the power of hits is the effect they have on the person hit. Knockout, knockdown, wobbled, damage, cuts and other.

You cant score one power punch better than other because "its looks better". If we will be score boxing like that someone who land 10 shots will lose to someone who lands 2 but more effective looks punch.
That's dont how we do it because it will be giving bonus to quicker, more dinamic dudes with better punching power.
Chisora shots maybe looks better but still Joyce land more and his volume make better effects on opponent.
Look at them when fight over. Joe can go to party and Dereck dying.

I’ve only seen the HLs and post IV with Joyce.

I feel sorry for him but he was classy in defeat, as you would expect from him per reputation.

Just from the HLs, no fighter has any business taking flush shots like that, with literally no defence in play, including reactive head movement to take some of the heat off the punches.

Iron chin or not, the damage accumulates and with so many “free” shots allowed, the likelihood of an opponent landing their Sunday best also increases, which I think we saw in round 9 when Chisora dropped Joe.

What on earth are you on about? Judges can't ignore flush bombs to the cranium just because a guy's taking them. Joyce lost fair and square, why he didn't just jab Chisora's head off is anyone's guess. His fight IQ last night was absolutely risible.

I seriously expected joyce to pummel chisora, ruin and finish him in the last few rounds but he just couldn't do it, even though derek was exhausted, and joyce reckons he's still fresh!
sad to see really when del struggles to land on most decent heavies, gutted for joyce, but like delboy said, joyce is just to nice for this game, hasn't got that spite has he, that's what seperates fighters in the hurt game!

It doesnt matter why Joyce dont jab Chisora. It matter that his style was enough to outland Chisora in 6 from 10 rounds, make him wobbled and fighting for life.

What You suggest is not how we score boxing fight. You cant give someone win when he catch opponent less but nicer.
Then all boxing match will be winning by counter puncher who just took shoots and wait to AIM 1 nice punch per round (in Simple way off course)

End of the day I repeat one more time. I dont have problem with Chisora win but that was very close and probably he got lucky that this KD happend. Scorecards are too wide definelty.
Joe lost 3 points by this silly KD. He got best round there and will have 10-8 easy way.
Then he got 6 rounds with advantage in land punches and pretty easy can have draw or win here

That's all from me. Have a nice day
