Throwing punches without defense, I don’t see Joyce as a bigger title threat...

    Round 1 Joyce 10-9

Joyce comes out aggressive as usual, jabbing to the body, Wallisch goes for a left hook, blocked by the glove of Joyce, who then lands a one two to the head of Wallisch. Joyce pressing forward jabbing to the body, slapping with shots to the head, some are getting through, some landing on the gloves of Wallisch. Wallisch fires back lands a clean flush straight right, Joyce undaunted. Joyce whipping in a low left hook to the body, peppering him with 2 and 3 punch combos up top, one usually gets through, most often the finishing hook of the combination. Joyce starts boxing a little more intelligently, throwing out a ramrod jab to the stomach then the face. Wallisch responds with another straight right. Joyce relentless throwing punches in bunches, realizing he take Wallisch's best shots, walking through his straight rights. Just unloading landing anywhere he can. Non stop body and head work, varying up his attack, Wallisch has no idea how to block or prepare for the next shot. Although still landed clean for the remainder of the round himself.

    Round 1 Joyce 10-9
    Round 2 Joyce 10-8

Joyce comes out jabbing to the body, and blocking the incoming rights with his glove, Joyce closes the gap, get's in the face of Wallisch smothering any offense, and starts letting them rip, unloading combos to the head and body, all thudding power shots, without full force behind them, but medium and enough to damage Wallisch, Joce keeping Wallisch along the ropes, crowding him, and when he attempts a right, Joyce is now picking them off, in some cases punching Wallisch's punches. Wallisch eats a body shot that hurt him. Joyce follows up pounding him with left hooks to the body. Following up with hook one twos to the head. Wallisch explodes out of the corner, but Joyce rolls with Wallisch's one twos. Joyce gets him along the ropes, starts sitting down on his shots. Clubbing him to the head, he looks hurt a body shot then a right to the head puts him down. He makes it back up, underneath his right eye is cut, he makes it to the bell.

Ahh. I refuse to pay for ESPN+. Greedy ****ers get the right to stuff that was on broadcast TV before and put it on their app for more money.

Think it's a fair point to point out that dubois can bang absolutely no debate there but how often has his own chin been rocked. Still so early in his career don't think we've seen that answered yet. Dubois Joyce is going to answer that question.

Also how he handles the way Joyce likes to general the ring. Say what you like but can't remember seeing Joyce put on the back foot very often

    Round 1 Joyce 10-9
    Round 2 Joyce 10-8
Round 3 Joyce wins by KO3

Joyce comes out like a battering ram going for the kill, throwing out stiff hard jabs, hooking around the high guard, and pounding his gut like a drum, Wallisch looks ready to go. Hard left hook to the temple drops Wallisch, who wilted to the canvass, he makes it back up. Joyce is right back on him, landing one twos, then Joyce lands a savage right hook to the chin, which spun Wallisch head around on a swivel, he follows up with a hook to the body. Wallisch crumbles to his knees again. It's over.

I'm sticking to my guns, Joyce knew Wallisch had nothing for him, and chose to walk through everything. He'd shored up his defense by the second round and was rolling with and blocking most of Wallisch's shots. He steamrolls The Dubious One in 3-5 rounds.

Nothing particular to say about this fight. Joyce went through the motions and got the job done. Onwards and upwards to the Dubois fight. :chuck:

Wallisch's only weapon making anywhere near a dent was the over the top right. After Joyce eat it a few times was wise to it. Don't see the dubois fight as a steamroll tho. Don't even want to call it myself, not an easy one imo

Agreed, honesty I can see him giving anyone a good fight, he has an iron chin, best stamina in the division... he would cause Fury, Joshua etc problems. Also he picked boxing up very late, after like 3 years of training boxing he fought Usyk in the amateurs and gave him a good fight

I predicted Joyce KO/TKO round 4 on the weigh in video, I gotta admit I was completely wrong, I am embarrassed with my prediction

With you on most of that good post imo. Yh the amateur usyk fight speaks for itself, good job he's got that iron chin tho because at times looks far to easy to hit. But yeah he's solid not the fastest or fancy lands heavy tho.
Recon he should get a shot at the big guns if he can get past dubois.
