Didn’t tune in until 20:30, missed Noakes & Bentley but stuck with this bollocks

 

Frank Warren has not been lucky with this event.

 

The last women's fight I saw was when Amanda Serrano was on the undercard of Joyce/Parker. The way people were talking about her you would expect to see the second coming of Ray Robinson, saying things like "she's not just elite for a women, she's better than most top men" and "if you're not a fan of Amanda Serrano you're not a fan of boxing". But I watched the first couple of rounds and low and behold, it was absolute garbage. Some people will lap up any old shite if they are told it's good.

 

If this and the Bentley fight had swapped positions on the card it would have made a lot more sense, this has killed any semblance of atmosphere in there as is normal when placing women as chief support.

 

Fortunately the misses unexpectedly wanted some of the good stuff this evening so I’ve avoided the first 9 rounds of this.. all set for the Joyce fight now in my dressing gown and with a jar of crunchy peanut butter #winning

How do women's fights like this get made so high on the card?

 

Do you reckon women should be on women’s shows? You get what you pay for then. When I go to watch non league the quality isn’t great but it costs 10x less than a prem match. Surely having these on is just robbing fans and domestic level lads who can provide way more entertainment.

Serrano v Taylor last May was good though and the atmosphere looked great.

Late replacement did well here, called up at a days notice, she obviously stays in shape, fair play.
