I don't think he is being underrated. I think people know he is tough.. If anything he might be a little overrated..

Oh, he is definitely being underestimated imo. I still pick Joshua, but he wont just run through Parker.

I predict Joshua to use his underrated skillset to box Parker from distance, and win a clear but competitive UD. If he goes for the kill like he did against Klitschko mid rounds, he could find himself gassed and in BIG trouble, because Parker will be there from start to finish.

It's probably about 50-50 in terms of people underestimating Parker vs those overrating him.

It's the same with any big fight. The same is true with Anthony Joshua. The way AJ is portrayed on here as being as slow and robotic as Valuev and with the chin and stamina of Price, it makes you wonder how he has won any fights at all, let alone be a unified champ.

While it can't be disputed Klitschko was 41, coming off a loss and inactive you have to be pretty keen to detract from Joshua's achievement in defeating Wlad by repeating this stuff considering the performance of Dr. Steelhammer. The version of Klitschko who showed up to Wembley was in fantastic condition both physically and perhaps more importantly mentally. The performance made a mockery of his actual age and even his biggest haters like the forums own dinovelvet praised Wlad in the aftermath.

As for Parker, I think the bookies aren't far away. It's heavyweight boxing between two titlists so anything can happen but I see Joshua stopping Joe mid-late rounds. I actually think Dillian Whyte and Joseph Parker aren't too far apart and see that fight as a more competitive match-up than this Saturdays.

This is something they've repeatedly addressed and explained why this was the timing for the work to fix his shoulder and elbows. He had been having issues but they felt the Ruiz fight was an opportunity they couldn't skip on as the title gives some obvious leverage, the Cojanu fight was MEANT to be Hughie Fury and was a mandatory so they couldn't skip on that.

It's clear why Parker was furious about that as he'd probably have much rather have done the surgery at that time so he could do his first defense without the physical limitation which was putting him off using the jab and straight right. That obviously meant he had to fight Cojanu AND Hughie while dealing with that issue, but there was no way he was going to fight AJ with out those tools.

The hooks were very much because of the injuries, as you said yourself - we know he could do good straights and we have a reason for why they faded away, in we believe Team Parker then they will be back to at least what they were... and as you validly indicated, he really wasn't the full doz relying on hooks where straighter punches would have been much more effective - and he would have known and not enjoyed that both during camp, and the fight.

If you think about it, it explains so much up till now... and I hope it's all definitely sorted as without those then a lot of the comments on it not being a competitive fight are legit

This will be a classic "boring" Klitschko performance.

It Will go down alot like Klitschko-Povetkin.

Very similar size differential and attributes.

Does it make Parker underrated? Does it make Povetkin underrated?

No. Just that the difference is good vs great.

Similar size differential? Povetkin is 188cm and 225lb vs Parker at 193cm and 238lbs

If you saw something that most everyone else didn't see, you don't have long to wait for validation now. The eve of the fight is no time for converting non-believers. If you're feeling confident in your man, savour these last two days as the prophet in the wilderness.

    Its the same height differential.

Sizewise Klitschko had 16 pounds on Povetkin.

Joshua weighted 254 in his last fight and Parker weighted 239. That's 15 pounds. So like I said. Same size differential.

The fight Will look alot like klitschko-povetkin. Joshua Will win on the cards by an ugly looking performance and Parker fans/AJ haters are gonna get disgusted by how it plays out.

Nothing new We have all seen it before with Klitschko-Povetkin...

Edit: Klitschko had 6 inches in reach on Povetkin.Joshua has 6 inches reach on Parker... go figure...

But but but: Parker has an iron chin and much better workrate so Joshua might gass out.. well Povetkin had just the same attributes over Klitschko aswell... Povetkin also a great puncher in the pocket just like Parker but did it help him overcome the size against Klitschko?

Joshua should really be wary of Parkers speed and power, especially given how flat footed Joshua is. Parker can come in and out, put angles on Joshua and hit him with that rapid right cross hook. If Parker just stands in front of Joshua toe to toe then he likely loses but the dude will fight smart. He's going to test that Joshua chin for sure. He doesn't have as much power as Klitschko but he is rapid and can hit Joshua with more than one shot.

No, Smack. Let me put it another way.

Parker is only 1 inch shorter than Klitschko - and sometimes heavier.
