I wish, but I just don’t see it happening.

Only thing that makes me wonder if Parker has a shot is his Samoan blood, as those people are famously granite chinned.

I have trouble envisioning Parker getting knocked down hard. Maybe a flash down or something, sure, but going down hard? I can’t see it right now. Still, TKOs are a thing.

And Joshua might find it pretty perplexing if he finds KOs are off the table and he needs to win rounds instead. Joshua defense and offense are just his power to rock the enemy, so if Parker isn’t rocked, might get interesting.

If Parker handles AJ the same way he handled Takam, by dictating when the exchanges happen, maybe Parker could get a UD.

Still, I’m going with a Joshua win.

 

cant see it, parker doesnt even hit particularly hard, about 4x less than wlad, and hasnt faced a puncher yet.

 

Where did this idea that Samoans were iron chinned? I know Tua had a chin you could use for an anvil but other than that what other Samoans had iron chins?

Jimmy Thunder was Samoan and had a chin of pure glass. Not saying Parker is chinny he seems to have a good chin but he's yet to prove he can take a punch like Tua.

 

It would be an incredibly sad era of fatweight boxing if Joey P. is King.

I will be picking parker in the league I never pick against my favorite boxer ... although my gut says Joshua will win but oh well.

Respect to J Parker being willing to travel and box on the tough British HW scene.
There are several HWs that I dont think would be top 10 rated if they were based in the UK.
I expect there are many HWs that would not be willing to travel to the UK and face a top British HW even if it were for good money.
I expect Joshua to clearly beat Parker but...
