At least Povetkin will hopefully be clean this time, Parker has improved since then, and Takam came to the Parker fight in his career best condition. Obviously Povetkins method of victory is a big thing, but both fights were close so this is not a mismatch by any stretch - no matter how you look at it.

Povetkin's side will offer up the most money.

However, Povetkin would handle Parker and I imagine the risk/reward ratio will not let that happen next. It wasn't easy getting the belt to New Zealand, doubt they'll want it to leave so soon.

Parker won't have to chase Pov around the ring like he had to with Fury. Pov will come right at him.

Povetkin would need to offer more than Joshua ever could to get the fight.

Even then I can't see it happening.

Only fighters with nothing to lose will go to Russia to fight Povetkin.

That rules out anyone with a belt going over there to fight him.

browne would be a really good fight both of them would go for it. plus, it might be nice to see a HW fight that isnt in the uk or germany for a change. these are two solid HWs who could put on a huge show in oz or nz. would be a different kind of atmosphere i guess and thats no bad thing in boxing.

The venue choice for Parker v Browne will be interesting.

New Zealand would seem logical but the Kiwi government won't put their hands in their pockets.

Melbourne will be desperate for a big fight given Horn is unlikely to fight there plus it has a big Kiwi population.

    Wouldn't rule it out.

Parker beats both of them. Browne just is a crappy heavyweight.

I think Povetkin probably bests him, but his biggest foe(Povetkins) will be passing the PED testing protocol which he'll probably fail anyways. Parker beats Browne with or without PEDS.

Yeah Povetkin is a beast but I'd say their styles would make for a fun fight, whichever way it went - main thing i don't like about it is Parker (or anyone) going to that part of the world to fight. Povetkin seems like a pretty decent dude himself, but it's not just him you have to worry about in his backyard.

The more I think about the Browne fight, the more I like it... actually could rally more interest than people expect among boxing fans... just a nice change from the usual and a bit of inter-country rivalry. Be nice to beat them at something different from the normal footy ;)

I don't think Povetkin makes sense - even with 6 million dollars at stake.

Povetkin faces hammer instead he's going to become the mandatory. Then will Parker be able to cash out in time with Joshua in a unification or will Joshua face wilder and or guys like Haye and Whyte all bigger fights.
I think Povetkin is a real possibility here. Get paid now. Joshua can say he wants Parker but really Wilder is the bigger fight as are the local rivals.

    Agree 100%

If I was Parker I would be avoiding Povetkin unless he is made a mandatory.

The agricultural Lucas Browne would be an easy nights work and a good fight based on the Australia vs New Zealand angle but not as much money as a Bellew or Haye UK based opponent.

Tony Bellew would also be an easy nights work, for a big pay day. Even David Haye would be an easy nights work for a big pay day. If I was Parker I would be looking at the winner of Bellew vs Haye, because of the big cash in either fight. He is also now known to UK fans after comprehensively dominating Hughie Fury.

Why? Povetkin has the last chance to get belt and for this Parker can require at least 10 million with a rematch. Even if Parker loses, he will earn a lot of money and he will still be able to continue his boxing career.

I think Povetkin is too skilled for Parker. Could knock him out. VADA cleared Povetkin for the Wilder fight, but the WBC still used the mistake as an excuse to protect Wilder. This is a trick that Wilder has used, at least three times against an opponent that is a threat. Wilder's winos never test positive as they are not a threat. This is so obvious.

Honestly I think Povetkin would knock Parker out. A limited Hugie was landing lots of flush shots on Parker. Fortunately there was zero zip in them. Povetkin is way more dangerous. If they fight in Moscow (where Parker could make millions) Povetkin would be the favorite IMO.
