KB reckons he is going well - any one have ideas of who he could or should he be fighting next? I will be there to support him at Arena Manawatu in NZ to cheer him on for whoever he will be fighting on June 13th, it will be the first time I've seen a pro boxing bout and I can't wait to see a fight at this level in the flesh http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/other-...e-experience-from-wladimir-klitschko-in-miami
Good man getting down to support JP. Also, hey Kiwi :hi::good I haven't heard anything yet as far as his next opponent goes. Boxrec has nothing listed either. I think it will be another tune up fight essentially, to try out some of his new defensive work KB has him working on. Either way, the fight will be great live. He is a very entertaining and humble dude. Enjoy!
Haha cheers man, try and stop me! Are you? I live in Kapiti so it's only an hour's drive, easily worth it. I'd wanted to fly up to check out the Costa Jr fight as I had a feeling that could get brutal but something else came up... this one I've been kinda speculating/dreaming that they may have a couple of potentials lined up and using the Klitschko experience as a measure of where he's at when he goes way past his comfort zone and gets tested. If the initial comments from Kevin Barry are anything to go by, they'll have a good 6 weeks to recover/prepare from the Klitschko camp and I'd not be surprised if they shot for a more serious test. I'd like them to more-so than previously... maybe someone in the Kali Meehan - Alex Leapai range from this end of the world? And PS, yes :hi::respect fellow Kiwi Pretty sure we've crossed paths before, possibly even on the now defunct David Tua forums?
Not confirmed yet, someone on another forum claimed Molina himself said he is busy on that date - JP's handlers have just said they are chasing him for a fight.
Apparently Parker has been making the big man work for his next fight http://espn.go.com/blog/dan-rafael/post/_/id/12594/klitschko-being-pushed-by-parker-in-training-camp
Wlad gives back to the sport, giving these young fighters invaluable experience. Class act. And it keeps him sharp.
Definitely, I think it will help Joe Parker more than it helps Klitschko - if not just as a test against the best and because he's clearly got good skills, something of a confidence builder.
I'm sure the experience will help Mr. Parker against everyone moving forward....except Mr. Klitschko. Lest we forget, he is also scouting these young bucks firsthand in case they're matched up down the road. While they're acclimating to world class competition, he's assessing all their strengths and weaknesses.
Good thing for Parker he is young and early in his pro career - he could be at his best after Wlad is well past his
