Agreed has to be Parker. Has already put Wilder's career to shame.

You can argue Parker beat the best of a very weak lot, but for my money Povetkin was far more impressive doing it vs his three opponents in Perez, Wach, and Duhapas.

Parker is good enough to be ranked in the top 5, and I think he beats Wilder, but think he's lost luster off his star in his last fight with Ruiz.

Come on now, Povetkin shouldn't even be a consideration. That guy has really tarnished his career.

Povetkin only fought once in 2016.... Against a last minute replacement. Wach and Perez were in 2015.

Morales fought both Charles Martin and Ruiz. Morales drew with Charles Martin but lost to Ruiz.

This was just in response to your post that had Martin over Ruiz.

In boxing styles make fights. Various contributing factors for each occasion and the individual themselves (style) makes each fight different.

Parker wouldve knocked them out. Molina and Martin have not performed as good as a Ruiz or Takam. You know and have stated Parker has fought the better opponents, this should give you an understanding for the 12 rounders.

AJ would have knocked Takam & Ruiz out in less than 6 rounds, the fact that Parker went life & death with those guys shows what kind of level he operates at.

Yeah fair assumption. Joshuas got power and a 100% KO record to base your assumption of. We can only assume like we do with the lotto numbers I guess.

It's funny how fighters reputations go up and down, boxing fans are very fickle. Let's talk hypothetically, before AJ beat Martin in two rounds many fans thought he was a legit contender, some even had him in there top 10. Then the AJ fight happened and he became a bum over night. IMO that could have been Ruiz that went 2 rounds with Joshua and Martin who went 12 with Parker, we would still be talking about about both resume's in the same way though, just with differenr names on each.

Yeah Im not a big fan of what if this or what if that, all those assumptions you can make is good banter but its fantastical. Im more about the realistic and a lot of what I contribute to discussions is based of a what we do know. I guess you could also say Ruiz went 12 rounds with Joshua and vice versa, its all fantastical to suit what you want to hear, subjective. Im more objective but a Parker fan none the less.

On a side note, Parker described Martin as 'nothing special', Parker knew before the Joshua fight that Martin was a joke. Actually a lot of boxing fans including myself picked Joshua to win easily. Martin proved a lot of boxing fans right. It was too easy.

Joshua is certainly top of the food chain right now.

But Parker is lurking not far away. And he is only 24 yrs old.

And if Joshua would have fought fat boy Ruiz it would have been easy too.

You are seriously underestimating the Joshua intimidation factor. Joshua is the most intimidating fighter since prime Tyson. No way Molina or Martin would have been as afraid to engage with Parker as they were against Joshua.

Also you are underestimating Joshua power. Parker shots don't hurt as much as Joshua does. Also there is nothing that suggest to me Ruiz or Takam could have gone more than 5 or 6 rounds against Joshua.

Yes, but fighting intimidated fighters does not show how good you are if the other fighter is too scared to throw anything. Martin and Molina are clearly mentally weak as they were beaten before they got into the ring. If they got into a war against Parker, they will come up short for the same reason.

I said I thought Joshua would beat Ruiz Jr and Takam more convincingly, not sure what your second point was. I'd back at least one of them to go longer than that though, Breazeale went 7.
