The normally quiet and humble young fella is starting to get some confidence... I hope that he doesn't get too carried away, but I'm excited to see this kind of talk because maybe Team Parker are looking to start to rattle a few more cages next year http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=11554676
That's what I'm hoping will happen. I know it means nothing right now, but because people here seem fascinated by the past... as a bit of trivia the last guy to beat (by KO) Wlad Klitschko only barely got a split decision against Kali Meehan a few months later, so if we live in this made up world where things don't change over time then he has beaten someone well past half way better than Klitschko. Don't worry, I know that's not the case - but this year will be an interesting year for the young lions of HW. Joshua is making similar noises and is not yet any more proven than Parker.
Tomorrow night he is fighting Daniel Martz, a 6ft 8 American who did lots of rounds helping Sasha Povetkin prepare for his last fight - will be interesting to see how he deals with someone from the tall end of the HW division.
