Interestingly Parker himself has come out and was not impressed with his performance against Takam, but took on board mistakes made during not just the fight itself - but the camp leading up to it. I guess the Dimitrenko fight was the first of a new stage of Parker's development, and Ruiz is going to be the next guinea pig. Could be very interesting, as despite not feeling or showing his best - Takam is still the best win out of a lot of the current prospects and up there with the best of the current title holder's wins! http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/other-...z-is-right-i-was-rubbish-against-carlos-takam
Parker is decent for sure, but still too easy to hit for me, and as he has moved up in class we can question his power a little too. I do fancy him to pick up a version of the world title, but long term still have question marks over him. He's hard to rank...
Fair enough, Parker's still a work in progress and has definite flaws along with the obvious up-side. As a long-time fan, I hope he can overcome them and get to the top. Regardless, he is a humble young man with a great attitude who is also a world-class boxer
I haven't seen a lot of Joseph Parker but what I have seen he looks good. Its time for him, Wilder, Joshua etc to take a step up & sort it out who the best man really is. Forget Fury & Wlad theyre shot
Rubbish and still good enough to beat a top 10 HW..... Hate to see what this kid looks like when he puts everything together on the night.
Ruiz is a massive step down from Takam. I don't think it's going to be remotely competitive. Ruiz might have a good round or two... But ends up getting starched by the 6th or 7th round.
He was heading in the right direction against Dimitrenko, if he steps up in form more from than fight then Ruiz could have a very rough night.
Going life and death with Takam was worrying for Parker, Takam really isn't anything special. Joshua's win against Whyte is better, Whyte would deal with Takam easy.
What the hell. Man, I want Whyte to fight Takam now just because of how funny it'd be to watch people who genuinely believe this try and work out whether to turn on Whyte or to suddenly actually give Parker some credit.
