He made $11-18 M based on what you believe, Canelo only made a flat $5M vs Floyd (WTF?)

Mayweather was a miser who wouldn't let anybody eat but himself, and then he'd toss them a scrap or let his opponents lick the crumbs that were left.

This shows how much AJ is willing to risk.

4.5 million for two fights is nothing when he's making 70 million. That's six percent, less than 1/15th as much as Mayweather. That's Ebeneezer Scrooge levels of stinginess and greed.

Mayweather didn't pay you with money, he paid you with the opportunity to become the face of boxing, and most of his opponents had their highest paydays either way.

This. All the guys that fought Mayweather instantly became names in the industry. Some fighters used that to their advantage and others didn't. Ortiz and Mosley got a ton of TV work and other mainstream work.

Marcos Maidana disagrees and no one was giving Guerrero a shot when he actually needed that $3 million for his sick wife. I get it though because the heavyweight division is and was suppose to always be the "MONEY" division.

Mayweather didn't pay much to opponents that didn't bring a big following as he knew he had all the leverage. If Joshua and Hearn did business like Mayweather they would of offered Parker a $5-6 mill flat fee if that.

But there was a big difference between Mayweather and Joshua's position in negotiations. Mayweather didn't care about his legacy as much as money and unifying was never a goal of his, he could pick and choose which titlist or fighter he liked because of this. If someone wanted too much then he simply moved on to fight someone else who would accept a smaller payday.

Parker and Wilder know Joshua cares about his legacy and he wants to unify so can squeeze far more out of him in negotiations than anyone in a similar position vs Mayweather.

That was Canelo's guaranteed purse. He definitely got more than Parker once the PPV upside was included.

I’m asuming you meant to say Parker got $9-10 mill and not Joshua since you just liked an article that says Joshua could earn up to $25 mill from the fight
