Anybody interested in this one? Parker's looked pretty good so far and it'll be interesting to see how he goes against Botha. Obviously Botha can seem like a bit of a joke these days but we should get an idea of Parker's talents. From what I've seen he's been fairly sharp and fundamentally skilled - with better than average hand speed.

Wrote a little preview here if anyone's interested in the fight! (I own the content so there should be no worries in relation to the rules):

How many rounds is this scheduled for? Botha seems a bit early for Parker. He is after all 21 with only 4-5 fights and relatively little amateur experience due missing out on the major senior tournaments. But I hope he looks good and that we get video of it.

Scheduled for 8 as far as I know - a bit short but longer than any of Parker's previous fights. He seems fairly relaxed about it... Botha talking plenty of smack as usual.

Agreed though - Parker is taking this on quite early in his career. I'd thought Botha would come in out of shape but he's actually dropped a few pounds, came in at 116kg.

That was impressive. To have that kind of power from such a young kid.

Awesome win for Parker. Came out a lot more agressive than I'd expected! Looks fast and dangerous, if a little green. Good prospect.

Great prospect. Didn't look nearly as raw as I expected. This guy is going places.

I heard that a lot about Botha's weight, but I don't know why as he was 115kg against SBW.

Jeez just saw it...was half-expecting sort of a half-arsed premature stoppage but no, he just about tore his head off. Botha HAS TO retire.

    Region block? Can't watch it.

Edit: Different browser did the trick. Botha got stopped indeed.

Definitely someone to keep an eye on. This was my first time watching him fight, but he should be on everyone's radar for up and coming prospects

Parker didn't compete in London 2012??

Botha was a gatekeeper for Pianetta to face Wlad. So, does this make Parker fit to face Wlad? As somebody said earlier, you would thought that matching him with Botha so early on would be throwing him in deep water early in his career but, he seems to have coped with it well.

I haven't seen this fight but, hopefully it's on youtube later.
