Joseph Parker probably beats both Joshua and Wilder

    Probably.
The sad truth for the AJ/Wilder fanboys and hype-believers.

Parker barely beat Andy Ruiz Jr. and looked bad against Hughie Fury too. He looked bad against Cojanu, who nobody had heard of.

BUT even so, he probably has the chin and enough all-round skill and punch to beat the hyped-up KO artists AJ and Wilder, whose bigger reputations have been built mostly on knocking over tomato cans. AJ deserves to be #1 I guess but he probably peaked against Wladimir Klitschko anyway. The justifications for ranking Wilder #2 are nonsense.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe Parker has a glass jaw and not enough speed. But I doubt that.

    I agree about Wilder

But I disagree about AJ. I think AJ has more to his game than Wilder, as was proven against Wlad and would go the distance with Parker and get the UD win.

How can you say Joshua peaked against Klitschko? What evidence is there of that?

Right now Joshua should be heavy favourite against Parker. He has the better single win on his resume, the better performance against a common opponent, displays a better set of skills and ability to use them, is considerably larger, and punches much harder. Parker has the superior speed and possibly chin, but he's deficient in all other areas. He's also shown a weakness to counter shots, and Joshua is the best counter puncher in the division right now.

Wilder is a different kettle of fish. Hard to say how that fight pans out since Wilder hasn't fought anyone remotely as good in his career but tends to destroy the guys he does fight. Maybe he's that much better than his opponents (but then why not up his competition?) or he's only looking good because his opponents are so weak. Considering his terrible form and openness to rather average fighters I'd have to pick Parker as a favourite there. I've thought that for a few years now, and nothing in either man's recent run of form has served to change my mind.

If you had to bet all of your money on it, would you really pick Parker over Joshua?

He looked slower in the Takam fight.
And I don't think he or his coach have shown any desire to make Joshua into a more tecnical boxer. Joshua himself has said determination and heart are key at this level.
I'm not expecting much technical improvement. Not enough to off-set his slowing down.
Maybe after he gets sparked out he'll learn to box.

Parker poses more of a threat to Wilder who poses more of a threat to Joshua who poses more of a threat to Parker

He came in heavier against Takam so that can just as easily be put down to a tactical error than any form of peaking. There are also stylistic and out of the ring factors to consider as well. It's just far too early to make a judgement on a fighter after one fight.

Well, his "tactical error" of coming in too heavy was two fights in a row because people said the same thing about him being 250 against Wlad.
In fact, he was expected to come in lighter this time. Yet he did 254.
He's 28 years old. I doubt he's going to get smaller or faster. I expect him to be 250+ pounds from now.

I'm not saying he's past his best or can't gain from experience. I just think the Klitschko fight might always be his best. I don't expect much improvement before a loss.

I do think Parker is getting underrated because of his recent lacklustre performances. I think he will be Joshua's toughest fight apart from Wlad. I also think he will do better than Wilder would do against Joshua.

But I don't believe Parker will beat Joshua. He hasn't got the complete style to overcome the task ahead of him. I don't think he can compete with Joshua on the inside, Parker really isn't an inside fighter, he prefers mid range, he'll get off first but will either find himself kept at a distance or have Joshua close in on him and maul him on the inside. We saw Ruiz Jr force Parker to box as he couldn't compete on the inside against the better inside work from Andy.

Parker's tendency to stand in front of his opponents after throwing will also see him picked off with Joshua's counters. If Parker used more movement and could box in and out, creating angles then I think he could really trouble Joshua, but he's never learned to fight like that before. I think Usyk when he moves up could pull this style off and give Joshua a very tough fight.

I think Parker has a much better chance vs Wilder. In fact if Parker's chin is as good as I hope it is then he could very well beat Wilder. Wilder's power often bails him out in tough fights where he is struggling, but with a good chin and the good head and upper body movement I saw vs Fury, combined with Parkers speed I think he could be a real dangerous fight for Wilder.

Hughie ducked Wilder twice and Peter said he's a very dangerous fighter. Arm chair warriors think Wilder is nothing but a useless bum , but many high profile trainers have the opposite opinion. Funny that.

    Probably not.

Joshua is the king in the triangle equation. He did better again all common opponents, and while it doesn't always say everything (styles make fights/strengths vs weaknesses/frontrunner style) in most cases it still does.

I’ve got a lot of respect for Parker. I think he was always going to look bad against Hughie, so I won’t hold that against him.

He usually steps up, and he’s fighting good opposition.

Having said that, I would back Joshua to beat him.

I'd agree with that, though Wilder's chances of upsetting Joshua are a lot less than Parker's chances IMO.

I actually agree to an extent here.

AJ does seem to have fallen in love with this warrior side going by interviews after his seesaw battle with Wlad. Could be his u doing vs Wilder
