on bscene Parker's promoter, Duco Events, confirmed the WBO world heavyweight champion missed the test after his win over Romanian Razvan Cojanu in May because of an extended holiday. "Joseph extended his holiday following the Cojanu bout on May 6 and didn't update the Vada system of his change of plans," Duco said in a statement. "A couple of weeks ago drug testers went to his residence in Las Vegas and he had said he was going to be in camp there but he had changed his plans and was in Samoa at the time. There is no hiding it's an oversight." If any athlete misses two or more tests during their period of registration, VADA will remove the athlete from the program as per their policy.
Will reserve judgement until the dust settles, as Kiwi stated there's nothing to suggest that this wasn't just a misunderstanding/a bit of forgetfulness.
Strip Parker of his title. Let Deontay fight Cojanu for the Wbo belt. The devastating bronze bomber won't allow this fight to go 12 rounds either!
VADA is nothing more than a political watch dog group with too much power. Stupid fans want to fix everything that is not broken so they foment an environment where stuff like VADA can swoop in under the guise of fair play when in fact they are only making things worse. State athletic commission tests were the closest things to a level playing field while still having a form of testing. 24/7 PED testing is a violation of your civil liberties and gets selectively enforced. Amazing to me how humans can be so ignorant to impose such things upon one another while their owns rights are being taken away right out from under their noses. Keep giving these controllers more inches and they will keep taking more miles but it's all for our own good, RIGHT! Disgusting!
Don't start making ludicrous accusations. baseless accusations have ruined good fighters careers and good names
Agree 100% with this. I can't believe how widespread drugs testing has become and how much support it has. The idea that athletes (including amateurs and teenagers) should be obliged to urinate for strangers on demand at random times and have anonymous testing agencies know their whereabouts every day or week of the year is shocking.
