With respect, I think you're looking at this completely backwards. Parker is far and away the more proven of these two - so the question marks should all about Kabayel and whether he can function on Parkers level. Can Kabayel step up from a Cuban who's best wins are bang average Hammer and Ajagba? Etc.
I think people are also glossing over the fact that Sanchez shouldn't have been fighting with that knee injury to begin with. It noticably slowed him down and removed any pop from his punches.
Parker all day long. I've never rated Kabayel, to be honest I think Parker beats him fairly easy and will win by UD.
It's also funny to think that it's not that long ago that lots on here were shitting on Kabayel as a potential opponent for AJ - another soft touch, etc. Fast forward a bit, he beats two overhyped fighters and suddenly he's beating Parker? Kabayel's looked good against mediocre fighters, but it's good opposition that shows who's real - the eye test isn't worth jack without it.
Records matter so much that Douglas knocked Tyson out and Ruiz made Joshua give up etc etc etc etc etc.
Shocks are memorable precisely because they go against the pattern - the proven legit fighter in their prime very rarely loses to the unproven (or proven to be average) fighter. You'll always have some contrarian who picks the less proven fighter every time, is almost always wrong... But loudly parades those very rare occasions when they '"called it", "told you so", etc These aren't prophets, they're idiots parading their stupidity and thinking everyone recognises their genius
