Cameron has been offerd 550k winner takes all fight against Joseph parker however cameron wants 550k in his pocket and is so far refusing to do a winner takes all purse, says alot about his confidence lol. I think Parker is one heavyweight to keep your eye on, he made short work of Botha and would easly beat and stop SBW imo.
don't even menshion SBW Ty..he is a rugby league player, with zero am experience and minimal pro experience...Parker has a amateur background aswell as him being a fulltime pro boxer..big diff there.. I think shane gets him
Dam thats good coin for NZ fight, Parkers got good chance in this fight 6'6 power and fast. Camerons tough with decent power but his style of walk forward and eat the jab all night wont work for long against Parker.
Source please TCboxa, I'll believe that when I see it written as a stated quote from a reliable person not your dribbling loose anus...hahahaha....
not allowed to post links to articles mate. http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=104165 Just google joseph parker vs shane cameron, its the first link.
duco just calling cameron out for publicity. theres no way in hell that JP is ready for cameron. they did offer him the fight originally at $500k to which cameron said no, and that Joe needs to earn his stripes before taking him on. then upped it to $550k and cameron accepted. only for Duco to retract the offer.
Cameron agreed to a winner takes all purse? from what i read Cameron wouldnt accept this and as a result its become a bit of a deal breaker as Cameron wants 550k outright.
sorry your right tc. cameron agreed to fight jp if they drop the winner take all caveat. which makes sense, this is pro boxing not little kids lunchtime rugby where "last try wins" rules apply. again, its all for publicity.
imho they cant afford to pay cameron 550k outright, its not a big draw card fight and they wont recoup the money paid out to cameron. I dont rate cameron to high as he wasnt even able to beat Green however he was imo weight drained so give that fact he didnt do to bad i suppose. I think parker defeats cameron, to young and to fast for cameron but saying that it only takes one punch and cameron is pretty strong at heavyweight.
Boxing in NZ is weird. There's absolutely no depth to it, it has no presence in the overall sporting scene, and overall it's a bit of a joke, but if you combine any 2 of Tua/Cameron/Parker/SBW you will get a local "mega fight" which will make a lot of money and capture the imagination of the sporting public. Tua v Cameron was HUGE locally. These guys who are basically journeyman-level fighters can make a big payday down here (as can their opponents e.g. Barrett).
just think he has had good paydays with tua 500k, green atleast 300k, barrett 150k and now parker at 500k thats more then some world champs make, doubt katsidis made as much for instance, not saying he doesnt deserve it either just abit stunned but all the power to him
