Price is 33, I don't think that he has too much time to slowly gain some credibility again. Everyone knows his advantages and weaknesses. Yeah, I agree, he would be a favorite over Charr and Hammer, but you never know, 1 good punch and Price is gone. Remember how Pala almost knocked him out? With Price everything is risky, going after Parker is the bravest thing he can do at the moment, but it's also the shortest way to the title shot. I hope it happens, that's it.

Terrible move by Price who I feel should retire regardless. Parker all wrong for him.

It does seem like a desperate move from Price. But nobody takes him seriously and his options maybe very limited. Too dangerous a puncher for most to risk fighting but little actual reward should you beat him as he's seen as damaged goods.

So I guess Price had to take the risk to try and get his career going again because at the moment he's in no mans land and at 33 he doesn't have the time to really spend years rebuilding his career and work his way back in to contention.

Price just needs to come out slinging. If he comes out pawing out that pathetic jab he's getting laid out as soon as Parker opens up. He needs to throw caution to he wind and start unleashing right hands as soon as the bell rings. That gives him a punchers chance at least... Still think it's a very poor move taking this fight.

It is desperate. He is has looked awful and he is going to jump in with a young athletic hungry fighter who has been way more active than he has and has been fighting good competition like Takam. It's a disaster. Price should look for some shopworn names in the UK and springboard that into a big fight against one of the Furies or Joshua. Chisora, Haye even. Not this kid he will get planted again and be done for good.

I agree, he can't fight tall, if he tries that he'll just be a sitting target for Parker, who will beat him to the punch and overwhelm him.

He needs to coming out slinging as you say. Parker isn't much of a counter puncher so if he can get Parker onto the back foot and in a defensive mode he can have some success. But it's going to be hard, Parker is much quicker, once he gets going and letting his hands go I can't see Price lasting long, he needs to back Parker up early by being the aggressor to prevent Parker fighting his usual fight.

Price has to take this fight. At this stage his career is in free fall. Thompson and Teper, two drug cheats, sealed his fate. It's almost like he's getting this shot because all his losses are murky. Maybe the sanctioning bodies are trying to right some wrongs in their typically atypical way.

I wonder if Price's crew were relying on Team Parker to be playing it ultra safe when they first they'd be keen for a fight with Parker etc, just talking it up and not actually expecting Team Parker to say "That sounds good!"... is it me, or after all the initial noise they made it seems they've been pretty quiet since Hearn and Parker's team have been saying that it should be a thing?

Good fight. Gives Parker the chance to fight on a bigger stage and make some money whilst giving him the stepping stone to Fury or Joshua. Price isn't bad except for his egg chin so he will be a live underdog.

Most of all his team - they would have bet the house on Parker.
