Joe actually has fought outside of New Zealand. Four times. Wilder whose had 15 more fights than Joe has fought five times outside of the US. Joe normally fights going forward, especially against tall opponents. Dimintrenko was 6 foot 7 and Meehan who many felt beat Lamont Brewster for a world title is 6 foot 5.
Stivernes better than anyone Parkers faced. And he didn't struggle with him like Parker did with Takam and Ruiz.
Stifferne is massively not better than Parkers recent opposition! I would take at least 6 UK HWs to beat him with ease! The guy is barely above "Martin level".
He's not massively better but at least on the same level. Takam and Ruiz are about Martin level, Martin actually has the best win of the three in Glazkov. People try and make it out like Parkers faced some murderers row, he really hasn't.
Martin drew with Alvaro Morales a nobody that Ruiz beat. Also Ruiz went 29 and 0 before losing to Parker he's now on 30 fights so both Ruiz and Takam have had more fights than both Glazkov and Martin. I also think Takams resume is better than all three, it stands out when you look at all four subjects professional records. Glazkov got injured in his fight with Martin. I personally think Martins had better wins than that. The boxing on display by Martin and Glazkov was poor IMO given that it was a 'title match'.
The Glazkov win has nothing to do with Martin being better though. The fight was scored even and Glazkov injured himself. Might go down as a win on record, but he did not actually beat him to a win.
Parker has not had a major fight outside NZ. fighting FOUR times isnt saying alot, because Nz is not a big stage. Wilder doesnt have to fight outside the U.S Atlantic city is a huge platform, Parker hasnt been under the big audiences yet it could effect any fighter. Wilder is the one that has the reach and moblity...he will dictate how the fight is fought. Dimetrenko has zero mobility. I rate the fight 60/40 in wilders favor until i see something else.
I was just stating the facts as it was false to say that Joseph hadn't fought outside New Zealand. If you go back and read your post there is no mention of a 'major' fight outside New Zealand, you just stated he hadn't fought outside New Zealand and that's incorrect. You're fine to rate the fight how you please. With Dimintrenko I was just saying that Parker normally likes to come forward against taller opponents, others that have seen Parker will tell you also.
I dont see how that helps Parker bc as i stated wilder likes going backwards and side to side. I said Parker hadn't fought outside NZ, fine but he has not been in a big show yet ,wilder has was the point so thats a major advantage. Im not even sure how many tall fighters Parker actually fought,i remember him getting hit alot and pushed back by that rugby player ( dont know his name ). I will be probably rooting for Parker, his next fight should improve him no matter what. Wilder? Not so much.
It might have been scored even but Martin won every round handily. He was putting a beating on Glazkov before he quit.
Rorshach51.......the results of your MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Invertory) test are back. Uh................Your crazy.
It helps Parker because going forward is what hes shown in the past to work for him and often results in a KO victory. You feel that it will play into Wilders strengths, if so then it should make for a good battle. Wilder does drop that lead arm and jabs from under his chest line, not always a good thing especially if youre not as quick as your opponent and youre in reverse. In saying that they would make adjustments if the two were to fight but in boxing, those bad habits always seem to get ring time. Former rugby league player Solomon Haumono. My guess would be about 40-50% of Joes opponents have been taller than him.
