You'd hope so... Otherwise it sounds a bit like a repeat of his Joyce loss tactics - which seems ridiculous considering it's not really a style that suits him that well (you need a top chin and genuine power to beat anyone good that way).

Parker stops him between the 7th & 9th..

I was saying this before that if Wardley wins watch the Usyk fight get made real quick.

Yeah you'd hope so, but I get the feeling that Parker is actually looking to try and outmuscle/overpower Wardley and it is reminiscent of the Joyce fight.

Can't say I've watched all his fights, but as far as I'm aware he hasn't really gone up against any big hitters yet has he?
I can't see Frank weasel his way out of it tbh. Though I suppose if Wardley does win by beating Parker he should be in line next, it would just leave a sour taste for those who has a harder road to get their shot.
I think Huni showed Wardley has a similar flaw to Wilder: put him on the back foot and he's not really that effective at establishing his best shots. Parker also has to avoid going into the ropes which gives Wardley more opportunities on the offensive.

I can't really see Wardley eating the same shots that Joyce did either tbh. He landed some brutal overhands in that fight

I'll give you that - you're right, Wardley hasn't really fought big hitters. Although, he has shown a lot of heart and resilience in some of his recent fights. Also, he still hasn't been knocked down too which is not a bad stat.

Wardley was being out-boxed by Huni.

Parker should win by decision, Wardley is a hard puncher but is very basic otherwise.

But who knows, there is always a possibility that Wardley will connect flush, and that's what makes this an interesting matchup.

I think this is the case, if Huni had Parkers power he probably would have finished Wardley in 4-5 rounds.

He's not as good or as tested as Parker and are you trying to say other heavyweights can't box as well as Huni can? Also Parker has more power than Huni and a more proven chin.

Wardley didn't win a completed round against Huni on my scorecard. I think he'll win his share against Big Joe.

Wardley may have beaten the best heavyweight in the Southern Hemisphere in his last start. Not the best credentialed (that's Big Joe), but the fastest & most skilful.

Huni is unproven, several boxers could have out-boxed Wardley the same way, he struggled with Frazier Clarke in their first fight, did you see that fight?

I expected Wardley to get beaten by Frazer Clarke who was a world class amateur. He managed a draw & then brutally kayoed him in the rematch. I saw that one. Wardley hasn't just beaten Nathan Gorman, David Adeleye, Frazer Clarke & Justis Huni. He's smashed them like guitars.

Wardley should be struggling with the likes of Frazer Clarke & Justis Huni. They were both live opponents who brought much better credentials to the table than Wardley did. Yet Wardley ended up kayoing both. It's a well-matched fight, but I think Wardley will be in it against Joseph Parker up to his eyeballs.
