Thats the champs fault. Champs and alphabet bodies give out the oppurtunity. Regional champs choosing to challenge themselves against the best of the world is not solely up to them. It is not Kabayels responsibility any more then it is an Angel Rodriguez's responsibility back in the day.

The WBO whose mission is giving exposure to fighters in all regions gave Parker a shot. Parker became a world champ. Parker defended the title a few times before losing. By the time Parker lost title to AJ he was an established name. By going the distance with AJ he solidified his presence at the elite level.

 

I want parker next

 

I'm not an undisputed guy who cares about champions keeping all their belts. If Usyk does, picking Parker over Kabayel makes sense. Can't deny this. But this convulted mandatory system isn't about merit or who deserves it. Its about keeping "the undisputed".

 

I think Parker will destroy Wardley. I don't get the Wardley hype. I agree that Usyk beats whichever one he fights though.

 

Yes the sport isn't fair, and its always bene that way and always will be. But its not fair to say that Parker just got lucky and Kabayel didn't. Parker did the hard yards while Kabayel took it easy in Germany.

The WBO didn't fall into Parker's lap, he worked hard to build a profile, traveled all the way to the US to train and eventually ended signing a bunch of his pay cheques over to Arum to get the title shot.

Kabayel cruises in comparison, and is still cruising, he has been lucky in that Turki gave him a shot. I mean he beat Chisora all the way back in 2017 and what has he done since? One fight a year against taxi drivers and washed fighters.

He could have used that fight to build his profile, take some fights as the B-side, get some more wins and decent names. But he didn't want to do the work or take the risks, he only has himself to blame.
