I think the Fury's have bottled it up in court the only reason it came out was the leak to the Mirror. Even when that came out the Fury's lied to everybody about it claiming they were not under investigation that they never failed a test until finally UKAD had to respond to the completely false info that Fury had been spreading.

Statement from Team Fury. Not totally convinced as if it happened 3 weeks before then they should have disclosed it, and it seems all too convenient - they said they were going to be here a month before the fight, then they said they are delaying to get more sparring in.... now actually most of the last month he has been injured. How often can this happen with the Fury camp just by chance at the most obstructive time? If it's all kosher it sucks for all parties regardless, but Team Fury have made it as damaging to everyone as it could be.

    Anyway-statement:

STATEMENT FROM TEAM FURY AND HENNESSY SPORTS

It is with our deepest regret that we have to announce that the WBO World Heavyweight Championship between the Champion, Joseph Parker, and mandatory challenger, Hughie Fury, scheduled for Saturday 6th May 2017 in Auckland, New Zealand, has been postponed.

Hughie has been declared medically unfit to box following a medical assessment. He has suffered an injury to his lower back which has been a serious issue for the last three weeks that has left him unable to train to his full capacity.

Despite receiving intense physiotherapy treatment and his desire to fight for the WBO World title, after seeing his physiotherapist last Friday he has been advised to rest for 3-4 weeks before resuming training.

Understandably, Hughie is devastated by the injury which has temporarily halted his dream of fighting for the World Heavyweight Title, but the fight will be rescheduled and a new date will be announced shortly.

Hughie and Team Fury wish to express their sincerest apologies to Joseph Parker, the WBO, the fans and public in New Zealand and to all the boxing fans around the world who had been looking forward to the highly anticipated fight.

Frank Warren of Queensberry Promotions will be making a further detailed statement shortly.

I was going to comment how it seemed odd that Hughie hadn't been pictured sparring or training the last few weeks. They had been posting pics on Twitter regularly and then Hughie went missing from them. They also never got sparring in which would have been done a couple of weeks ago. Hughie had been sparring different lads like Daniel Dubois about a month ago but then it all went quiet. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. You don't travel to Germany and beat the best heavyweight by a mile on the planet if you are a **** team.

Lol back injury so something that is notoriously hard to get a proper diagnosis on, smart even a doctor can't tell if they are lying here.

Either way it isn't lying to say Hughie lacks the spinal fortitude to fight Parker next weekend ;)

Scans have shown his backbone to be missing. If the fight is rescheduled for a month down the line then fine - it will have only been their own fans that they've stiffed and we can then finally find out if Hughie is what his old man and cousin claim he is.

I fully expect him to scuttle off and claim that Parker wouldn't play ball in rescheduling and that they were moving on though.

Dominic Breazeale has called Parker out, and is keen to fill in immediately!!

I actually quite like that fight
