I'm not blaming Duco even in the slightest but Duco and Higgins will be the ones their stakeholders will be calling. The will won't answers. I can imagine Duco not sleeping too well last night, if at all. I don't think they'd be negotiating with Team Fury who probably didn't spend a dime, anytime soon or ever.

The claim that Fury would have been robbed in NZ is totally baseless. When gas anyone been blatantly robbed there ?? BUT take a look at The US especially Vegas? Some of the scorecards there weren't just bad decisions they were ROBBERIES!! Nothing short of criminal

Great question and one those trying to cast doubts on NZ have failed to provide an answer to.

There is going to be an announcement on the next opponent tomorrow, sounds like they've got something sorted.

I'm going with Dominic Breazeale - Taylor Barry mentioned yesterday they have been training for someone 6ft 7 and want to fight someone that size, Dom has done a major call out, and Dom is 6ft 7 - Rudenko is 6ft 0.

    Fingers crossed.

I believe Rudenko was scheduled to fight during the past 24 hours but pulled out.

He is inside the WBO top 15 too. In fact inside their top 10.

    Hmm?

I don't like Rudenko as an opponent, especially with Breazeale keen as for it. Rudenko is ex-Hughie, ex-Browne left overs who is much shorter. Breazeale would be a solid solid name and more appropriate in general

Rudenko is an ok replacement. I would prefer Hammer over him. Breazale is the best opponent HOWEVER he took a pretty good amount of damage vs Izu. Would he be in the right place physically to take on Parker? Yeah it's been two months since that fight but he took some punches and was knocked down and his face looked worse for wear.

    Good point.

By the way, good luck Soloman on your upcoming fight against Adamek.

I personally would prefer an undefeated fighter like Jahrell Miller. He was looked at along with Hughie Fury if yous remember, and also Miller was quite keen on Joe. Miller is a good name as he is fairly popular in the states as a up and comer.

Breazeale is good too but I feel that too many comparisons would be made with Joes performance against him and Joshuas fight. That is a silly reason why but even if Joe manages to knockout Breazeale in round 1, it counts very very little when looking at Joshua and Parker. The show must go on and Breazeale IMO is a good replacement, I just wish he was undefeated like Hughie.

Would Big Baby be in any kind of shape this short notice? The man hovers around 300 pounds on fight night! I can only imagine Big Baby, who has not fought in many months, to be in the best of shape currently.
I like Big Baby overall but he is not known for his conditioning.

Good call. Miller hasn't fought for about 8 months and could be in pretty poor shape if he hasn't currently got a fight on the horizon.

David Higgins from Duco has stated he is "pretty confident" of finding a replacement who met the WBO standard - it must be a top 15 fighter "with credibility". He said there were 3 or 4 candidates, but he would not name them.

"You cut a deal quick, get him on a flight today potentially," he said.

"Otherwise we can cancel the event and take our time, line up something offshore for July/August".

I have to be honest, I'm pretty unimpressed with Taylor Barry's response to finding out Breazeale called out Parker. Not sure wtf this is about, but it makes it seem highly unlikely it's Breazeale which is very unfortunate. They have made it clear they are aiming for a taller fighter, so I might investigate the options, but I don't have my hopes up if its not Dom.
