All rnds had fury landing minimal to non important punches while being pressed back..both were lack luster but this was inded one sided and easy to score...i could give fury two rnds tops in a rare fight i dont have too see more than once ,though i will when given the chance. Parker certainly won an easy to see fight and thats bc Hughie did all the work by not throwing punches making it very easy to do a punch count in this one.
Really bc thats going to be a HUGE shock to the boxing world...just when i think you hit rock bottom you now suggest ( which is the criteria of boxing itself ) is Pucnhses landed is not the most important factor????lol///as stated this is GREAT , you aren't trolling and actually are being serious here......number one dummy on here for sure...( No offense)
Rds don't go either way. They go to one or the other. When you are a judge you don't have the luxury of ''not knowing who won the rd so I will give it to the champ.'' You must make a definite decision with no bias. Like I said good professional judges don't care who the champ is or what he has already proved. They only see red and blue. Also I hear a lot of guys saying stuff like '' I thought the blue corner won by 115-113 but I can see the red corner winning by the same score. If a judge went to a post fight meeting with the supervisor or commissioner and displayed that kind of indecisiveness he wouldn't get another appointment. To the others who replied to my post- I am not speculating on who I thought won the fight, only about this misconception that some people have.
Parker landed one clean punch the whole fight. Sure he was aggressive but he missed the bulk of his shots. Fury controlled the tempo, out landed, out classed and ultimately landed the crisper, albeit weaker shots.
One judge and the ref was british. Does anyone know the nationalities of the other 2 judges? I dont think there was any kiwis officiating the fight.
of course rds can go either way, different people put different emphasis on certain judging criteria and sometimes one can see a rd as even. in that situation, since you cant have even rds, it should go to the champ.
Can you provide the source please. I heard they tried to get a kiwi on there but Im not sure if they did.
LOL I think you lie too much. Will have to remember you for that There was no NZer involved. It was two American judges, one british judge Terry O'Connor and a british referee Marcus McDonnell. https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/other...parkers-wbo-title-defence-against-hughie-fury No Hughie got the fight in his hometown and couldnt get the "hometown decision". He a lot of things go his way leading up to this fight. He got the fight in his hometown despite being the challenger. He got to back out of the scheduled May fight with Parker and still get a title shot. There can be no excuses.
I find the outrage by Fury's camp a bit overdone. It was a close fight (much closer than 118-110), but a Parker win is not a robbery. I found Parker quite ineffective until the last 3-4 rounds when he went headhunting and Fury looked less refined defensively. Parker's inside game is terrible, much to my disappointment.
