    Really? Thats why it seems as though most of the boxing pundits are picking Hughie Fury actually.

    Without Aj, DW or haye type power (with ability to land) you are NOT beating parker, should be clear UD or even late tko IF Parker addresses his stamina weaknesses (and advances to elite level)

    Looks like Hughie has thrown his toys out of his caravan... did I see a Duck walk past?

    I dunno why pundits are picking Hughie to win. he doesn't have the punching power and his best win is kassi? he should of atleast fought someone else .his only chance would be to outbox parker by hitting and running around like he has done in some past fights . Parker by ko in late rounds.

    Love the fight. I think Hughir gets the W. I'm interested if Peter will get his visa...? And if not - who will be his coach or will he pull out? (****ing hope not!)

    After than Takam fight Parker was humbled a bit. He admitted he had a lot to improve on and they hit the gym to do it. The Ruiz fight was very close and probably even more humbling to Parker than Takam. Parker is one of the more hungry young boxers in the sport today so I have no doubt his team are continuing to iron out his mistakes. On top of the high chance of Parker improving between Ruiz and this potential bout with Fury I also give Parker the stylistic advantage. Parker is much more impressive when he's the aggressor and playing that role may also be a confidence booster in itself.

    I think you may be right but it can also go both ways. Parker looked gun shy through his whole fight with Ruiz, it seemed to me far more so than he did against Takam. I worry that he couldn't knock Takam out and that has built some kind of mentality in his mind that he needs to be more defensive and box rather than go for the kill against serious opponents. That worked out fine against Ruiz (just) but against a taller, slicker boxer like Fury he might come unstuck.

    That's the key for me too, if Parker realizes that he must attack Fury and consistently does so, I think he wins as Hughie does not have much power. But if he tries to outbox Fury, he will lose a decision.

    It all depends on whether Parker's defensive style against Takam and Ruiz was due to them being good, or due to them being smaller fighters who were very good in close range.

    Ruiz had quicker hands and arguably more power than Takam. It's easy to look gun shy when you take a combination puncher and tell him to pick his 1-2's and get back out. But there's a possibility you may be right. Parker does not seem to enjoy getting hit one bit and Fury has the size and skill to land whether Parker wants him to or not.

    Two smalls things that posters have mentioned on here that gives me little comfort is;
    1. Hughie isnt a noted power puncher
    2. Parker has quite a good chin
