parker has not felt this kind of power. he was rocked bad and was lucky to survive vs the tall argie dude and I think he is in for a big shock.
Will be interesting to see how it goes. I'm sure Klitschko has a bit of power, as with Bowie Tupou and Bermaine Stiverne - I figure Kali while having risky power isn't going to be coming at him with any more power or speed than he's ever experienced before. That bad round against Nascimento (assuming that you were talking about that) will still come up regularly even if Parker ends up world champion in a few years time, yes it was a shocker but he was clearly having an off day, never dropped, and won the fight in the next round. He's had 7 fights since then and grown heaps physically and in ability and discipline and I am sure the Parker than Meehan will be facing will be a different beast to in that fight. It's pretty selective to choose that round of that fight as evidence of what Kali is going to be fighting and I'm sure Meehan is much smarter than to make a game plan based on the assumption that's his opponent. Meehan's last loss was a blemish in Travis Walker's otherwise impressive losing streak, by TKO - and his next 4 wins are against people who'd be doing well to last to the 3rd round against the current Parker... hell, one of them lost to Parker in his first year as a pro and another one of them lost by split decision to the guy Parker recently knocked out in the first round. If I were you I'd not be hanging all my hopes on a Meehan win based on evidence of the worst round of JP's career, especially when Parker's response to being rocked was to knock the other guy out in the next round.
r u serious? its the same point regardless of that round. kali is not the guy to let u off after landing a good shot. that is if u r still standing, lol.
Absolutely. He's one of the best fighters any of these new potential contenders will have faced and a real danger because of it. This is part of why I'm excited to see the fight, the fight wouldn't be interesting if Kali had nothing to bring. You talk as though Parker is just going to stand there and let Kali hit him, though. A lot of people from a similar area said the same thing about Tupou, Lucas Browne doesn't take Parker very seriously it seems and tipped Tupou to knock him out early. Surely any non-casual observer will have learnt from that to not assume Parker is going to crumble into a defenseless vulnerable pile when someone with some power and aggression throws some bombs. To land those punches you have to get past someone who punches back, potentially harder and definitely faster. Parker is not going to be the only person in the ring with things they've not experienced before becoming at them.
nobody suggested anything as such. u r just making stuff up now. punches back? c'mon dude, this is not necessary. bowie is a sparring partner and likely a friend of lucas, what do u think he was going to say.
Apparently it is necessary, you appear to be giving Joseph Parker 0 chance. I guess we'll just watch the fight and see what happens
Maybe you're losing confidence in your original statement, which is a very reasonable thing to do... but I'm not making anything up. If you forgot: That by definition was not giving Parker a chance.
the topic says who wins. i believe kali will win. it does not say I have to give an essay on the fight stating pros and cons of each fighter. u seem upset that somebody does not share your opinion. I can't control your emotions, deal with it bud, lol. if u can't handle that then maybe forums r not for u.
Nah I'm actually perfectly happy I love banter, especially if good points are coming up so I can learn potentially learn something or at least explore a different view point if there seems to be one which has credit. I'm not the one who has been making or taking things personally - if you feel like emotions are high then that's unfortunate, don't take these too seriously... we aren't going to influence the fight, and neither of us have anything to lose regardless of the outcome. Good luck to both of them! Will be back to gloat when Parker wins
your essays responding to a simple prediction show u r way overthinking things and no need to gloat bud as I like both fighters and am happy whoever wins. u can come here and carry on if parker wins but it will not bother me one iota, lol. i'm cheering for both, but as the topic title asks, I've picked kali to win by ko, no biggee.
Don't bother with buster or as we like to call him BAB's he is a dope who doesn't know boxing. The fight is a complete mismatch Parker will get him out of there in less than 3 rounds.
