Is Wallin that good? In his last fight, he beat Breazele by unanimous decision and he didn't look good. I think Parker beats him.
I know some seem to really rate Wallin on here. I'm not one of them. He's done nothing of real note other than beat Breazeale and give Fury a cut and a few difficult rounds. We all know Fury can be inconsistent, I doubt he was motivated vs Wallin. I can't rate Wallin that highly off a loss, some fighters make a career off looking good losing, they are called gate keepers and until Wallin beats someone good I just don't see what's so great about him. He's not fast, doesn't hit that hard, he's just kind of solid and big and works hard in the ring, but nothing about him is exceptional. Parker of course is far more proven and he seems to be improving under Lee. But we also know his flaws. I think it would be competitive but Parker's speed and decent power should see him have enough edge to win a 12 round decision.
I'm picking Parker over Wallin if this fight was to happen. There was a decent enough improvement from him against Chisora. I'd rather see Parker V Joyce TBH. And I'm leaning towards Joyce if they ever fight. Good telling fight for both.
Total mismatch in quality. Parker wins this one easily. Parker has lready beaten nearly half dozen opponents better than Wallin. Wallin's best peformances is beating Breazeale and going the distance with some guy Dimitrenko Koed in a round. Whilst Parker has beaten Ruiz, Chisora x 2 , Hughie, Takam, Fa and Dimitrenko. A fairer fight would be Martin vs Wallin.
60/40 edge to Parker, mainly because of the handspeed advantage and the experience against quality opposition. Though Parker should really watch Ortiz/Martin and question himself after seeing a 43 year old man having better killer instinct and finishing skills than him.
Parker at his best is better..much better. Wallin makes the best of what he has got by fighting conservative and consistent. Parker can be red hot sometimes but also quite dire. Whilst Wallin is a steady lukewarm. Nothing overly impressive but workman like and tidy. Though he can get pretty defensive at times. I mean could be interesting if Wallin can snatch enough rounds when Parker gasses and if he can fend off the surges later on when he recovers. I would still pick the gapped tooth Uso pretty confidently.
