The fight will be late tonight here in North America, although it will happen tomorrow night in New Zealand. It is Thursday morning in New Zealand right now. Weights: Joseph Parker 231.3 Sherman Williams 265.4 Weigh-in video and interviews with both fighters: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=11342904 Here's the full card: http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=696409
Sherman was knocked down against Gerald Washington and also earlier in his career he was knocked out but still I would like to see him beat Parker
The articles about the fight say he's never been down. Parker said that in an interview as well. I've never seen the Washington-Williams fight so I can't deny or confirm it. He was stopped once back in 1999, but hasn't been since then.
The only question is will it be Parker by ko or tko. No way the Tank will last 12 rounds with this boy, he's well past it and will get a good pasting. Joe has a lot of improvements to make but he's a good few levels above current Sherman Williams.
Parker Vs Williams - Parker TKO Rapira Vs Papuni - Papuni SD - possibly KO Papuni Charalampous Vs Robinson - SD or KO Charalampous These 3 fights are the ones to watch :good
Hope it works out that simple. Parker is a real talent. But it is easy to get unlucky in this caper. Particularly in the heavyweight division.
