If he can't get someone like Chisora or a brit on April 13 undercard, I agree Browne is a good option. I strong of wins over 12 months against faded names would be good. Usyk would be a fight I'd really go out of my way to pay to see.
The loser of Chisora vs Whyte if the winner of that goes on to fight Joshua would be ideal. He needs at least a name to get back on the radar, Stiverne or even Povetkin or someone like this.
Not interested in seeing Browne ever fight again if I'm honest. He's easy work even for Parker, who is in a rut
Chisora, Povetkin, Whyte 2, Miller or Hunter. Hes a name in the UK, and hes got alot of guys eyeing off the same date as him.
Yeah he is, but Parker is on the road back and at least Browne is a name to have on his record and is known to some degree so at this stage of Parker's career, he's a good opponent. Hopefully we see Parker fighting 3-4 times a year again.
Not Dave Allen, Parker murders him, hes one of the big boys . Allen, Browne, Plechko, Carman, Miljas, Gashi, Dewejko, Rudenko, and Price should fight in a round robbin tourney for a blue collar world title. Be very interesting and entertaining fights.
If I was Parker, I would be facing Lucas Browne next because now is the time to face him and make a lot of money. If he waits another fight, then all the money and interest in that fight goes. After that he needs to base himself either in the USA or the UK and be active. If he stays in New Zealand then his career isnt going anyway. Facing Fa is a very bad opponent for him, that he gains nothing from. His main weaknesses are a lack of aggression and killer instinct, and a lack of punching power. He needs to be far more assertive and aggressive in fights in future.
I'm glad Kevin Barry rubbished the idea of facing Junior Fa. I would love for him to do well in his career but Fa has faced nobody decent in 16 fights and it's become tiresome listening to it all because they were 2-2 in their amateur days back when Parker was about 12. Maybe Parker should also fight Mario Heredia to avenge his loss in the amateur days while he's at it.
