Chisora has a good chance. But what would Parker do then??

Ortiz - makes little sense $$$$$$$

The big money is in UK fighters with Hearn...

And yes - Hearn is by far the world's best promoter right now....

Let's take a look. I think Parker will be heading to the UK not US b/c of the money. So what's on offer in the UK?

Dillian Whyte - Yes, a preferred opponent b/c the pay is good, he could take his spot in the rankings & with a decent prep coming in off wins, would beat him (imo).

Dereck Chisora - Yes, another good fight for Parker. It would pay well & is winnable.

Olek Usyk - I can see this fight happening. It would probably pay better than anything else out there for Parker right now. A win would put Parker back at the front of the queue for AJ. The negative is that I don't see Parker winning. He'll need to give serious consideration to taking this fight though & going for it. So it's a 'yes' for me if the money is right.

Michael Hunter - This is a danger fight for Parker. I think Parker's camp would view it as winnable but it wouldn't pay as well as some of the other fights & may not be quite as 'winnable' as it appears on face value. I'd be passing on this fight if I looked after Parker. So it's a no. I think it's a danger fight b/c it's likely to be offered & the Parker camp may accept it.

    David Price - Yes. Tim-ber.

    David Allen - Yes.

Alexander Povetkin - On paper a tough fight, but the guy looked old & slow against AJ after a couple of rounds. If they can ensure rigorous mandatory drug testing for the fight, then yes. Otherwise, probably not.

Sergey Kuzmin - Yes. I think Parker beats him.

Big Baby Miller - Would be a real crossroads match-up. I'd favour Miller but like Usyk, it's the kind of tough fight Parker will need to consider taking if he wants another title shot. So if the money is right & they can ensure rigorous mandatory drug testing, it's a yes. Without both of those requirements being satisfied, no.

Carlos Takam - We've already seen it. And the version we saw is likely much better than what any rematch would be. So it's a no.

Big Cat Fury - No. Just no.

I think Parker should take a couple more in NZ before heading back over. Or maybe one in NZ & one in Australia if he's feeling adventurous.

Lucas Browne & Junior Fa come to mind as potential domestic opponents.

    Sandman - great summary.

I think it is Browne down under - then back to the UK as you say...

    Yes its the obvious path

He needs to cash in on the Browne fight now, because Browne doesnt have much time left and the fight doesnt earn what it does now in 2 years time.

Then come to the UK, where the HW division is on fire at the moment and get some big money fights.

Lucas Browne was exposed horribly last fight and should retire.
How bout the winner of Jennings Vs Rivas. That fight is on espn in America will get good exposure I bet the winner will be one fight from title shot

Woah woah woah, steady on! Parker's had as tough a schedule as anyone and needs to re-tool. He's young and has just been to the UK for big money fights! Job done already.
Best to rest, recoup, fight some 'names' to tick over and let the smoke clear in 2019.
Browne is below his level but perhaps Takam or other similar first. Followed by Ortiz/Chisora at the back end of 2019. No need to chase the top 5 till a clear, winnable fight emerges.

I keep saying it. there are safer easier routes back where he could get a higher rating for less riskier fights

Ortiz should be fighting Povetkin, makes the most sense for both of them. Both want a path to another title shot, old as hell, no one really wants to fight them. Fight each other, winner deserves another shot.

    I was talking about Parker.

I would definitely favour Povetkin against Ortiz.
I have not been sure about Ortiz against the top HWs for a while, when he was facing Allen and Scott, but in fairness he did get a title shot not too long after those fights and did do well

I kind of agree with that.
He was facing H Fury in the UK which was tough for him in so much as the fight was close, Joshua in the UK where I think he had a game plan of moving and not getting hit but was possibly not effective enough, though he did do well to not take clean shots, then there was the Whyte fight which was a tough draining fight
