Joseph Parker's chin is overrated and is suspect! He never had the best chin in the heavyweights

    Povetkin didn't go down from the left hook of Price. I rate Price's power over Whyte's.

    Povetkin's chin is proved better than Parker's.

    The problem with amateur bouts is that there isn't footage or any kind of evidence for most of them, so we often have to rely on media's claims about boxers' amateur records. And media may want to hype boxers up by inflating their amateur records. An example may be Lomachenko, who is supposed to have an amateur record of 396-1, but there is no evidence to prove it. The oldest source I have found is a 2013 Bad Left Hook article that claims that's his record, yet it doesn't cite the primary source, so it can't be taken seriously. By the way, I'm a fan of Lomachenko, so no hate here.

    But, anyways, I don't think a boxer's amateur career can tell us nearly as much about his chin as his pro career.

    You claim that Joshua is going to destroy Povetkin, but then you say Povetkin has a great chin and Joshua's power is average at best. Have you changed your mind?

    He didn't go down because he landed on the ropes. But he recovered well.

    Just look at the monster hook that Parker took from Whyte, yet he didn't seem all that hurt when he got up.

    How? Whyte and all those around him talked up his power hugely, apparently his skills AND power are way ahead of when he fought (and nearly dropped) AJ... yet against Parker he headbutted him and managed to get a HUGE swing landing square, with Parker moving towards him, and it was just enough to make Parker drop - so yeah, he's human. He showed no sign of stumbling or anything after the fact, unlike AJ who was on wobbly legs for the next round from a lesser shot

    Agree. I think the headbutt was the fight changer. Compare everything up to the headbutt with everything after.

    Alexander Povetkin is currently 38 years of age. He is going to be 39 next month. Yet, he's never been stopped after 2 decades of boxing. How many boxers can you say that are around age 40 that have boxed for over 2 decades, have never been stopped before? Not many!

    If after boxing for that long, someone has never been stopped even once, amateur or pro, then it proves they must have a solid chin. Especially considering the level of opposition Povetkin has been fighting.

    I'm not just referring to his amateur career alone, but amateur + pro career. And that does matter! Considering there have been many boxers who have been stopped in the amateurs like Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder. So amateur career does give us a small indication of a boxer's durability.

    And if someone becomes famous as a pro and has been stopped in the amateurs, it's really not difficult in today's era to find clips / evidence of them getting stopped. As was the case with Wilder against Romanov and Joshua against Nistor. But there is no evidence whatsoever of Povetkin ever being stopped. That is a sure sign of a solid chin!

    Joshua should in theory, totally demolish Povetkin. Especially considering how highly some of his fans / fanatics have rated Joshua and how low they rated Povetkin. And especially considering the insane number of disadvantages Povetkin faces against Joshua.

    Povetkin is:

    1) 5 inches shorter in height.

    2) his reach is 7 inches shorter.

    3) Is lighter in muscle mass and functional weight. And even with added unnecessary fat, he is still lighter than Joshua who has nowhere the fat that Povetkin has.

    4) 22 pounds lighter on average (that's taking into consideration that Povetkin also carries non-functional weight such as fat, excluding that , Povetkin would be even lighter).

    5) Is 10 years older and past his prime whilst Joshua is 10 years younger and is in the peak of his career.

    6) going to be fighting in Joshua's home country at a disadvantage.

    7) physically weaker than Anthony Joshua

    I could go on and on and on. But you get the point. Povetkin in this fight carries 0 advantage, except maybe experience. Which really won't matter much, considering Wladimir Klitschko also possessed the experience advantage over Joshua but still lost.

    This fight is a much bigger mismatch than Lomachenko vs Rigondeaux. And people started crying, complaining and moaning over that fight being a mismatch when this bout is far worse and those same individuals aren't complaining anywhere near as much about this bout.

    He landed some brutal shots Whyte did, I rate him higher after the Parker fight.Jp has me confused, he come out looking sharp fast and was landing on Whyte hard, then the head clash imo left him concussed or fuzzy headed and Whyte was allowed back in to the fight more, but Parker is far to gentlemanly and forgiving...I think in 12 months he will be retired, he is missing something mentally and I don't think its his trainer that's the problem.A genuinely soft natured man who can really fight imo, just hasn't got the desire to be the best

    Wach was TKO'd twice with his corner jumping into protect him. A corner knows when their fighters about to be dropped and so they intervene like they should. They got in there before he got KO'd against Miller.

    Wach looks pretty tough though.
