Really impressive performance by Castano. I wouldn't have predicted a stoppage win for either in this one but there was a number of times during the fight where I was like Castano is going to get him out of there at some point and then there were others where I thought nah this is going the distance. Tex is very tough and game but Castano was too classy for him and won almost every round even though Tex was competitive throughout.

the fight went as i expected minus the stoppage, all i hope now is that castaño fights at least twice a year.

diaz weight cutting is insane and he is clearly permanently harming himself by trying to make the SF limit, he doesnt belong in this division. thats why im rooting for rakhimov

Hard to root for a guy that can't make weight.

Didn't see the weigh ins but did Diaz look like he even tried or did he give up his weight cut early?

    Round 1 Diaz 10-9, close

Shavkat started out well, outworking Jojo, but Jojo nicked it with the heavier work late.

    1. 10-9 Diaz
    2. 10-9 Diaz

The announcers making more of Diaz' work than is actually there.

    Round 1 Diaz 10-9, close
    Round 2 Rakhimov 10-9, close

Back and forth round, JoJo amost stole it with a few heavy shots in the middle, but Shavkat outworked him, and landed some heavy shots of his own.

He just gave up. He was 3.6 lbs. over. That is a lot to lose.

Not sure about that tbh. He posted some videos in sweat pants and was trying to lose more weight two days ago.

    Round 1 Diaz 10-9, close
    Round 2 Rakhimov 10-9, close
    Round 3 Rakhimov 10-9

Pretty dominant round from Shavkat, he has JoJo a bloody mess, and he landed countless hooks, body shots and straight lefts.
