He knew going to the scale he was over the weight. When he stepped on the scale, to me, he didn't look surprise and look like didn't give a crap.

Did he try prior to come to scale. probably but 3.6 lbs is a lot to lose for guys at this weight.

Rakhimov is a little too overeager so far smothering his punches as a result

Yeah, for sure, he knew he wasn't making the weight while stepping on the scales. But i do not think he just gave a **** in the fight week. I think he tried hard until he probably figured it out late Thursday that he's not making 130.

    Round 1 Diaz 10-9, close
    Round 2 Rakhimov 10-9, close
    Round 3 Rakhimov 10-9
    Round 4 Rakhimov 10-9

A ton of volume and some thudding lefts getting through landing flush from Shavkat.

Rakhimov looking good with the round punches, needs to mix in some uppercut in between the guard. He dips with his hands not protecting his face and Jo Jo clocks him.

it's possible that giving them to much notice that he couldn't make weight might have seen him be replaced last minute

I listened to a lot of interviews of JoJo and he basically said he didn't train a lot in 2020 until he got the fight against Rakhimov in October/November. And then he became a father for the first time. I guess he just didn't work out a lot due to Covid-19, becoming a father and other reasons. Just too lazy. I don't buy the "is too big for the weight class" talk.

Rakhimov is looking a lot more loose and comfortable now
