    He occupies that niche where he was always better than his record suggested while active...but you just know some hipster a century from now is going to be spamming the forum with threads asking if he was maybe a diamond-in-the-rough world-beater. (He wasn't.)

    He signed on with a promotor at one point who wanted to make a cruiser out of him. Of course it was a no-go, but if his fairly godmother could have changed him from a pumpkin into a real fighter, that's what he would have been, and he'd of been good.

    Anyway, I always liked the guy. High-end journeyman, almost a gatekeeper.
