Solid journeyman. Unfortunate for him that his biggest victory came in the gym and not in the ring where it mattered.
He occupies that niche where he was always better than his record suggested while active...but you just know some hipster a century from now is going to be spamming the forum with threads asking if he was maybe a diamond-in-the-rough world-beater. (He wasn't.)
He signed on with a promotor at one point who wanted to make a cruiser out of him. Of course it was a no-go, but if his fairly godmother could have changed him from a pumpkin into a real fighter, that's what he would have been, and he'd of been good. Anyway, I always liked the guy. High-end journeyman, almost a gatekeeper.
