    I want Lopez Khan. Great contrast of styles in and out of the ring. Lopez late TKO, coming from behind after losing several early rounds.

    Maidana's $250,000 purse is bigger than Josesito's $212,500. Is $212,500 enough money to get that kind of mauling all because he's too small for his opponent.

    Well for starters, it's about 10x more than some of us make in a year... and Josesito seems to me to be more the type who'll be glad to tell his grandkids "I gave a prime Canelo hell and kept getting up from that ginger *******'s vicious hooks to the body without ever giving him the satisfaction of staying down..." with a big nostalgic grin on his scarred and weathered old face than to look back and worry about how big his purses were.

    Not to avoid an L, an L is not important to warrior boxers. Besides he already has an L.

    We appreciate warrior boxers but we more appreciate warrior AND smart boxers.

    It would've been a major blow to his pride to not claim Victor Ortiz's prize (the Alvarez date) after scoring the upset fueled by his rage at being overlooked.

    Declining was not an option.

    I'd like Lopez vs. Maidana at 140, or Matthysse. Both obvious picks for great fights. I agree, Lopez embodies alot of what boxing is about, all the more reason I felt bad seeing him out there giving his all and having no effect. That was some Dragon Ball Z type ****, Vegeta vs. Frieza. Lopez was giving his all, everything he had and it did nothing, then Alvarez would come back and EVERYTHING just seemed at a higher level.

    Not accepting a fight is always an option.

    We always have a thread here of so and so ducking so and so...

    But Josesito won't be criticized of ducking Canelo if he had just intelligently declined the offer...
