Lopez even managed to rock Alvarez back, he is one of my favorites, nothing to dislike about this guy!

Lopez earned my respect in the Ortiz fight....his performance on Saturday only added to my perception that this kid is all heart! If the weight wasn't an issue I think he would have had a shot....But I was wrong....154 was way too much for Lopez to over come. I thought with his height, he might be able to add the weight effectively. I couldn't have been more wrong. Lopez couldn't hurt or damage Canelo no matter how hard he threw those things.

Yeah I like Lopez, he embodies that warrior, never-say-die spirit of the under dog that boxing is famous for. I didn't want to see the kid get hurt and there was a chance he would be badly ****ed up if he kept going BUT I would have liked to see more of his warrior spirit, I think the ref could have let it go for another round at least. That guy just keeps trading, I doubt Canelo has had to deal with that special dangerous breed of fighter before, especially in the later rounds.
I don't think he was AS determined to win this as he was to beat Ortiz, that was the fight in which he wanted to prove himself.

I'd like to see Lopez back at 140 and match him with Garcia. That is if he can make it back to 140, he seemed too small at 147 with Ortiz.

Josecito is the man!! Can't wait to see him in the ring again.

Shitload of guys for him to fight back at 140, but would it be "draining" for him to
    go back down that far?

Rhodes beat Jamie Moore (who had beaten Lujan about 5 fights before that, and who has stopped Macklin)

Now, not saying that he is a great win, but it is Canelos best win in a fairly weak resume (imo).

Not a bad win at the time they fought.

He's obvisouly going to drop back down to Welterweight (don't think he will go back down to Jr Welter)

Tim Bradley is looking for a fight in December. As is Khan.

Berto will be looking for a comeback fight. Guerrero is Golden Boy, as is Maidana.

Any of those work for me :good

Just curious, who is this young phenomenon with a middle weight's body that you are referring to?

For those who don't realize - Jose underwent surgery on April 14th, a month removed from his loss to Berto.

The physical therapy is expected to last a minimum of twelve weeks (stretching at least into midsummer), but Jose promises a return before the end of 2015.

He deserves a rematch with Berto (although, for the record, so do Luis Collazo and Jan Zaveck) - as of the stoppage, Lopez was up 49-46 on my card and most people thought it was a poor stoppage.

Berto is such a joke of a fighter, hard to believe that this guy actually had serious hype behind him at one point.
