The kid is hitting hard and his speed seems to have been improved. I dont think this is as much of a mismatch as many people are billing it to be. Both guys weight the same in the off season, just lopez cuts a bit more.

    LOL !

    Sad, but true.

If anything, he looks slower, and his punches don't have much (any) leverage on them. I've been thinking that Lopez actually has a chance against Canelo, but based (solely) on this video, I'm changing my mind.

Cool clip, thanks for posting. On Golpe A Golpe a while back, Lopez mentioned that his basic game-plan was to circle Canelo and then work inside on him when he could, staying either in or all the way out. Seems to be what their working on. From this footage it also looks like they're preparing to counter Canelo in the pocket along the ropes, which is smart, because as much as they'd like to circle, it's reasonable to assume they'll be bullied into a corner from time to time and should be prepared for that. Looks like he's trying to use his size to his advantage.

That's an interesting possibility. Maybe he's throwing with less snap & using less movement on purpose, for this very reason. I dunno, though, he looks to be circling & staying outside here. Plus, if working on an inside, trapped game, shouldn't he be throwing uppercuts?

    Well, we'll know pretty soon.
