Personally I wasn't impressed with Khan, mistakes were still being made and if he fought an actual fighter not one bloating himself up and someone with a record and power it wouldn't have been that easy. We might have seen a dance for a round.
He would have got knocked out, took far too many shots, when he throws these hand spasms he calls flurry's he leaves himself wide open.
Why does everyone always say "he's lucky he fought molina, when he fights a real fighter he's getting ko'd again" He's beaten a lot of "real fighters" This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected And none of them knocked him out. He's not going to get knocked out bye every "real" fighter he fights ffs, he can still beat 99% of fighters in his division!
4 years of fighting decent comp after the Prescott KO loss without getting KO with his **** defence and ESB **** chin is a decent feat, proving his chin is not as bad as everyone keeps going on about. We can even say Garcia landing on Khan's neck was a factor too in him going down.
Lopez isn't THAT good. Yes he beat Ortiz but before Ortiz quit he was WAY ahead on all the scorecards. Lopez landed some good punches and forced him out. 9/10 though Victor would have beat him. That TKO suggests he has a fair bit of power but Khan will be harder to catch clean than Ortiz is. Good fight but not as one-sided as many think.
In the interview with Sky Sports Amir Khan said 3 names: Josesito Lopez Victor Oritz Lucas Matthysse All these fights are big testers for Khan......
Ortiz got a broke jaw. It's not like he deliberately quit because Lopez was overwhelming him. Nothing to do with Lopez's power.
Lopez is a natural 140lbs fighter. Him fighting at 147lbs was a big ask but 154lbs was just plain ridiculous. Pathetic match-making from Golden Boy. Would be a very interesting fight if they put him and Khan together. Lopez has some good power but would he be able to catch and hurt Khan the way he did Ortiz though? I'm really not sure.
