I know this is a long shot but what if by a miracle Lopez beats Canelo, then he will have the WBC belt. There is no way that Lopez could knock Canelo out, but he might be able to beat him on his workrate. I think Cotto would want the fight because he would get the belt. As long as Pac, or Mayweather don't offer him the fight.
If Lopez beats Canelo somehow (he won't.) then he walks into a Mayweather fight. It'd be the Baldomir situation all over again, with a similar result.
I think both Cotto and Mayweather are eyeing up a fight with Canelo, so if Lopez wins somehow I'd expect him to be up against either one of them early 2013.
This is a stupid thread.. hes not going to beat canelo when he had trouble with Ortiz. he can enjoy his victory, but hes like what a C level fighter this would be a stupid fight.
You're speculation is on track! Both of them will eat him up alive. Canelo is game but he isn't on their level and Josesito will prove that much!!!
canelo will destroy lopez, especially to the body. it's going to be brutal because lopez has alot of heart. cotto would do the exact same thing, too.
