At least you admit now that beating Geale didn't make him a pioneer, and one other statement you made should make things as plain as the nose on your face: The 154lb belt was not on the line, he can't make the weight that he said he could that would make him as such therefore he is NO pioneer. He is still the number one name in this sport in this country for as many wrong reasons as right. This is why fighters call him out; in this country he is still bringing in a good payday because the Majority of Australia want to see an Aussie knock him off, and that won't happen with the list of Argies he has trundled out here. Look at his PPV numbers; people are turning off in droves. Geale did big numbers because he was seen as finally as someone who could smack him around a little. The following card was abismal. The BS surrounding the IBO 154lb title was farcical and no-one with a reasonable grasp of common sense swallowed any of the lines that eminated from Choc over that one. He made (more) outlandish comments, that he was unable to back up and then pointed the finger elsewhere. The Medley fight which was more than highly competitive at 154 became another public sparring session at 160 because the weight factor drew Mundine back to Rob and gave him more than a good chance at winning. For the Australian public it was "ho hum" nothing less.
There has been no baseless or emotional comments in this reply, just some facts. You are right that some have done so in regards to Mundine but you are highly guilty of this yourself. Sox' comments about handpicked officials, intimidation and knockdowns ruled as slips don't even bare contemplating they are so low and factless. Choc beat Geale on the night in a close fight, best way to score such bouts are live at ringside not on the TV

It's probably a good example of where, on forums at times, people just have to accept the facts, regardless of who they are about, or who states them.
