The sad thing, because this was a guy who I had enjoyed watching, was that his interview on Saturday was very much prepared. You could see Ben Davison taking him through what to say and you could hear him repeating the same eg 'it wasn't my best performance' lines that he'd been fed.

As you say, a bit of grace, not doubling down on being the beneficiary of a robbery would have gone some way to shift focus to the men in suits.

I will never pay a penny to watch any of his fights from now to the day he hangs up the gloves. He's got those belts under false pretences and deep down he knows it.

Rubbish. I thought Catterall edged it in a very close and difficult-to-judge fight. I just think that the overreaction is needless and embarrassing.

Would the reaction be the same if Catterall was Scottish and Taylor was English?

Everyone knows who won that fight and it wasn't Taylor.

 

It was said with tongue placed firmly in cheek but that doesn't mean that it has no merit.

Taylor's achievements are (at least) equal to those of, say, Hamed, Hatton and Froch. The latter three are comparative superstars in relation to Taylor. Why do you think that this is?

 

All three fighters you mentioned were on Sky thats why.Just another reason why Josh should have shown a bit more humility when he finally got that opportunity.oh and btw i see now he is finally giving Catterall some credit and offering him a re match.Think it a little to late to save his reputation
