No matter what people say about Taylor he still had a very solid career even if he had a brief period of being the top fighter in his weight class. It was fun watching his fights.

    Enjoy retirement Champ.

Glad to hear, he's a shell of his former self.

I've never seen a prime P4P elite fighter regress so quickly, it was bizarre.

He had a brilliant short prime to be proud of though. Becoming undisputed the way did, fighting and beating back to back champs.. he had a fantastic few years right at the top.

The right decision, I wish Josh the very best in whatever he does next, his run to undisputed was excellent and loved every step of it!

I look back to the fight with Prograis and conclude that it was one of those fights that both men came through but were never the same again.

The Ramirez fight was almost as barbaric.Josh Taylor did have a very good career. He beat five world class fighters in his his short spell at the very top of the sport.

Excellent career albeit a very short prime. Things started going pear shaped when he left Shane McGuigan and then injuries, bad habits and lifestyle took their toll too. Mentally, despite his bravado and hardman persona, I think he lacked self-confidence and that manifested itself in the ring and he often fought too tense and loaded up on shots not using his brain and being relaxed. He was a lot better when he wasn't loading up so much, using his brain, picking counters and everything just flowed smoother. His gas tank, due to bad habits, became an issue too. Happy retirement, JT.

    Good fighter.

    Fun to watch

I had the pleasure of watching him fight live vs Teofimo Lopez

True champ in that he behaved like a champion in victory and in defeat

Whod think hed have his last fight before Pacquio had his last fight

Had a very good career and some very good wins. Made some good money, and could be a good boxing pundit or trainer for sure.

Made the right decision retiring 100%. All the best to him.

Right decision, his lifestyle outside the ring and spells of inactivity caused him to age overnight. I was always a big fan and don’t believe he ever got the credit he deserved. He had great physical gifts and all of his fights were exciting to watch. Happy retirement champ!

Awww shucks!!!!! He retired before chasing Crawford out of the division. Weren't there stories of him beating champs in sparring when he was 9 years old?
