Josh Taylor KO'd Ugas in sparring

He knocked him down in 14 oz gloves.

Ugas claimed he used smaller gloves but it was Taylor's regular sized 14 oz.

I could see how Taylor's pressure and pace would put Ugas in trouble especially in sparring because Ugas is a fighter who likes to coast and throw counter shots.

 

Ugas is a nightmare for shorter fighters and inaccurate guys like Porter, Taylor is neither, I can see how that might've played a role in their sparring bout .

 

Thats cool and all, but a prize fight is a whole different thing. UGAS right now has alot of momentum and confidence. It wouldnt be a walk in the park for Taylor, thats for sure.

 

Can Ugas make 140? If he can, this would be an i retesting fight. He has great exposure after the win over Manny. Pac says he wants a rematch. If I was Ugas, I’d push for that because it’s the biggest money fight. Maybe use the Taylor fight for leverage or fight Taylor if Manny drags his heels or the fight falls through. Manny takes a long time to make decisions and get fights scheduled these days. I wouldn’t bank on the rematch happening.

 

Talking about sparring seems dishonorable to me.

 

Ugas has brought it up himself a few times , so it's a fair game on part of Taylor to promote himself but yeah sparring stories shouldn't be making rounds.

 

I agree, I think the boxers should leave all of that in the gym.

 

Taylor talks so much **** but when Chisora stuck it on him and Prograis at the press conference he was silent.
