I would have preferred Prograis vs López and Josh vs Catterall with the winner to face off.

It's a matter of principal. You owe Jack the rematch, and as far as I am concerned Lopez got beat easily by Martin and therefore does not deserve a title fight.

Taylor knows Teo is a much easier fight! He doesn't want no parts of Catterall.

Something about TTT rubbed me the wrong way from the start. Once he cruised past Ramirez I figured I had to give him his due and threw in the towel on my hating.

Now he does this? Should have stuck to my guns.

Lost all respect for the Tunnocks Tornado. He should be eager to prove he's the better man. The fact he bringing a smaller guy up in weight makes the duck look even worse. He will be two divisions bigger than Teo on the night.

Oh how ironic it would be if Lopez becomes unified champion again by beating another southpaw

Taylor really turned into a dick pretty quickly.

After the Catterall fight, all he had to do was say "fair enough, I got lucky and Jack probably deserved the win". Everyone would have been ok with that. Instead he doubles down on the fact he thinks he won the fight even though he got man-handled, knocked down and Catterall landed twice as many punches. Outside of the 3 crooked judges (and I include Foster scoring it by only 1rd to Catterall), no one thought he won.

To now have a convenient foot 'injury' that forces the postponement of the rematch and then prattle on being forced to fight Lopez and Lopez being a harder fight...etc is just making him look like an even bigger arse.

Catterall is clearly living in his head rent free.

    This.

At one point I thought Taylor was the best story in British boxing, but the past 18 months I think we've seen the man's true colours. Seeing these quotes after watching Catterall getting robbed really brings it home what a ***** Taylor is:

He won't get the chance to be unified title holder, he won't have the career or earning that his performance that night would've opened up for him. No wonder he's bitter about it, if Taylor had an ounce of self awareness he'd have kept his mouth shut instead of showing everyone what a massive, entitled dickhead he is.

Catterall rematch should've happened within a year or not at all

The great thing about Taylor-Lopez is that whoever wins will have their stock reenergised. If Taylor wins, the Catterall blip can be forgotten about, and he'll be viewed as the big dog @ 140 again. If Teo wins, he'll be once again be leading the pack consisting of himself/Devin/Tank/Ryan

Even though Taylor-Lopez is a more interesting matchup than seeing Taylor-Catterall again, I agree with everyone here, this is a duck.

Their first fight happened a year ago, it’s just ridiculous at this point that their rematch still hasn’t taken place yet. I feel sorry for Catterall who deserved the victory but he should just move on with his career now, I doubt the rematch happens any time soon.

Well... it is and he is. Not sure what the problem is here. It's like Jose Carlos Ramirez ducking a Viktor Postol rematch to fight Regis Prograis. People really need to cool it with the hyperbolic fangirling over Catterall. He's not some menacing boogeyman. Taylor had an off night, Jack had a good night, it happens. And even then, it was razor close.

Why hasn't Taylor rematched Regis? Do you think Regis or teo is more deserving of a fight?
